BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- China's central government will provide all necessary support for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to fight the COVID-19 epidemic, a spokesperson said Monday.

Efforts should be made to spur internet platforms to create more flexible jobs, and implement prudent and tolerant oversight for emerging forms of employment, including online retail, ride services, as well as online education and medical care, it said.

The circular called for greater efforts by judicial authorities in protecting the business environment to stimulate the vitality of various market entities, noting that these entities should be guaranteed equal protection of rights and equal development opportunities.

It was decided at the meeting that the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC National Committee will convene its 13th session in Beijing from Aug. 25 to 27 to discuss the formulation of the 14th five-year plan for economic and social development.
