(KGTV) - A San Bernardino County couple has been arrested after authorities said they kept their three children in unsanitary and unsafe conditions.Sheriff's Department deputies were conducting an area check Wednesday afternoon in the 7000 block of Sunfair Road when they located a trailer that appeared abandoned. A large rectangular box made of plywood was also located on the property.Upon inspection, deputies found there was no electricity or running water and several large holes, mounds of trash, and human feces on the property.Police said the parents, identified as Mona Kirk, 51, and Daniel Panico, 73, did not provide their three children, ages 11-, 13-, and 14-years-old, with enough food either.About 30-40 cats were also found roaming freely inside the trailer and on the property.Kirk and Panico were arrested and charged with willful cruelty to a child in lieu of 0,000 bail.The three children have been transported into the care of San Bernardino County Children and Family Services. 1061

Kicker Landon White left the Eastern Kentucky University football team while taking a big shot at the program on his way out of the locker room.The Madison Central grad grew disgusted with what he said have been poor, or even nonexistent, safety measures as it relates to the team and its handling of player safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.White claimed in an Instagram post that no one on the team has been tested since July 6. JAMUL, Calif. (KGTV) - An 11-year-old girl told the San Diego County Sheriff's Department she was nearly kidnapped Tuesday afternoon near Jamul Primary school on Lyons Valley Road.The child told deputies she was walking on a dirt trail around 3:49 p.m. when she was approached and forcibly grabbed by an unknown man. She was able to escape, suffering only a minor abrasion on her arm.Deputies and the Sheriff's ASTREA helicopter searched the area but were unable to find any suspects or evidence.In a sketch released by the department, the man has a distinct scar on his cheek and appears to have a droopy eye. The Jamul Dulzura Union School District is working with the sheriff’s department to keep students safe. All schools in the district will start at their normally scheduled time, but deputies will have extra patrols at Jamul Primary before and after school for the rest of the week.Detectives from the Sheriff's Rancho San Diego Station are handling the investigation. The suspect was described as a thin man who is clean shaven, wearing a dark ball cap, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and either a red or maroon shoes.  1183
