According to Sharp Grossmont Hospital, the flowers were cut fresh from the hospital’s gardens and delivered to the 24 women who became mothers Sunday. The program, called “This Bud’s for You” is now in its 11th year. According to the hospital, the program was initiated by landscapers to cheer patients up. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Planned Parenthood officials say a recent act of vandalism at their Pacific Beach location will not "stop us from serving our patients."Red paint appeared to be thrown across the location's sign and windows on Mission Bay Drive sometime between late Sunday afternoon and Monday. A photo of crews cleaning the site was captured by a Reddit user and posted online here.In a statement to 10News, Planned Parenthood said the vandalism would not affect operations:"While we are disappointed by the recent vandalism to our health center, no attempt at intimidation will stop us from serving our patients. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police on the campus of San Diego State University are hoping surveillance photos will lead to an arrest in a recent burglary. The pictures are clear. They show two men walking in the hallway of a campus building. Another photo shows them at a different angle. Police aren't releasing details about the burglary, but they say right now, there is no threat to campus. This is the latest in a series of crimes on or near campus. Last Wednesday night around 8:30, two men armed with guns robbed two people as they sat in their car. It happened in the north alley off of 55th and Montezuma. Taylor Langpap and her roommate, Jessica Ancar, walk the alley all the time to get to their apartment. "I was a little uneasy that it was just really close to my apartment, but I wasn't really surprised cause stuff like that happens all the time here," said Jessica. In the fall, there was a string or robberies where students had their cellphones stolen. In another case, a man was charged with ripping off students who were trying to sell things on the App Offer Up. Campus police aren't saying if the men in the surveillance photos are wanted in any other crimes, but students say they are always taking precautions, especially when walking after dark. "I make sure to call one of my family members or a friend, and then if I am not on the phone with someone, I try to keep very aware of my surroundings. Investigators said Henry Lopez passed out drunk with a lit cigarette, starting a fire that spread to the rest of the home. His children, 10-year-old Cristos and 7-year-old Isabella, died as a result of smoke inhalation. Lopez was also hospitalized with burns. Lopez’ ex-wife Nikia testified at his preliminary hearing in February 2018, saying the couple was in the custody of a divorce. Nikia Lopez also said her ex-spouse was an abusive alcoholic.
