New research from AAA shows too many senior citizen drivers are not having conversations about when they should stop driving.AAA says that by the year 2030, 1 in 5 drivers will be over the age of 65, which is why the company is urging people to have conversations with their older family members sooner rather than later.According to the study, 83 percent of older drivers report never having a conversation with family or a doctor about their safe driving ability.  The report states that those who do only do so after being involved in a crash or other driving incidents.AAA recommends having conversations with seniors before you start seeing red flags.Here are things to keep in mind when beginning a dialogue with your loved one:Start early and talk often. Make sure you stay positive, and make sure they know the focus is on their own safety.Avoid generalizations about older drivers’ abilities.Have a one-on-one conversation. Doing it with the entire family can make a driver feel alienated.Stick to facts. Focus on a medical condition or medication that might make driving unsafe, and don’t assume their driving should be stopped altogether.Plan together. Let the driver play an active role in planning for their “driving retirement.”In 2016, more than 200,000 senior drivers were injured in traffic crashes. Nebraska just became the first state to execute an inmate using a powerful opioid called fentanyl. The synthetic painkiller has helped drive the national opioid crisis.The execution is attracting big attention, because executions across the country have been delayed as drug companies file lawsuits to stop states from using their drugs in executions.However, Nebraska found a way to get around the issue—by using fentanyl in a mixture."Drug companies don't want to be associated with state executions,” explains Adam Graves, a college professor and ethics expert. “They don't want their products to be used for death."More and more states might start using fentanyl in the deadly cocktail used to put inmates to death. And that means states that have had to put executions on hold, might be able to resume.So why fentanyl? NEW YORK, N.Y. – Peloton has issued a recall for some of its bike pedals due to a laceration hazard.Thursday, that home fitness company said about 54,000 of its PR70P clip-in pedals are being recalled. They’re the first-generation pedals fitted on Peloton bikes sold between July 2013 and May 2016.The company has received at least 120 reports of pedals breaking, including 16 reports of leg injuries, five of which required medical care, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.The Peloton logo and the word "PELOTON" are molded into the pedal body. An orange Peloton symbol and white lettering spelling "PELOTON" are also printed on the top of the cleat binding. They were fitted on bikes that sold for about ,000.Peloton says anyone with these pedals should stop using them immediately and that it’s notifying all affected consumers directly on how to receive free replacement pedals, along with instructions for self-installation.Peloton says its pedals are warranted for one year and all remaining PR70P clip-in pedals in service are out of warranty.
