SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man was arrested Tuesday night following a chase that injured one woman.According to San Diego Police, officers noticed that the man’s headlights were out and tried to pull him over near Nimitz Boulevard and Rosecrans Street around 8:22 p.m.The man then reportedly took off, striking two cars along the way. The pursuit then led officers onto Interstate 5 where the suspect struck the back of an SUV, injuring a woman inside.Officers were able to take the man into custody after he tried to cross I-5 and run down a steep embankment.The severity of the woman’s injuries are unclear. 612

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A heartbreaking scene greeted a youth soccer club in Mira Mesa.All four of their goals were severely damaged.Aaron Vazquez, 12, has been playing soccer since he can remember. But last week, his fun came to an ugly halt."My heart dropped and my stomach tightened," said Vazquez.Juventus San Diego stores its goals at the Mira Mesa Recreation Center. Aaron's father, Sabino, is coaching director of the club. Membership includes about 130 kids, ages 2 to 13.MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhood"Looked like somebody trashed the goals, bent them and broke them ... left them in the middle of the field," said Sabino Vazquez.The goals are valued at about ,200.Sabino Vazquez says they tried to bend the bent parts back into place, and bought new parts. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A plan to add bike lanes along 30th Street in North Park got a boost of support Tuesday from a group of 18 businesses.“We see protected lanes on 30th Street as just the beginning of the transformation of our streets to truly support biking, walking, and transit as meaningful transportation choices,” read the letter, which was sent to Mayor Kevin Faulconer and City Councilmember Chris Ward.It was signed by the owners of 18 local businesses located near 30th Street, including Modern Times Beer, Union Cowork, Waypoint Public and Bottlecraft.On Twitter, Modern Times Beer posted the letter, adding “Our world-class businesses deserve world-class streets. We urge the city to stand firm in its commitments to climate, safety, clean air, & thriving business corridors, & stick with Option A.” Here's an important thing we care a lot about: building more bike lanes. The City of San Diego is planning to build some badass bike lanes on 30th St, where our tasting room is located. This will involve replacing on-street car parking. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A North San Diego County teenager was taken into custody Thursday after reportedly making threats to Torrey Pines High School.School administrators reached out to San Diego Police Thursday morning after a 14-year-old freshman was suspended for making verbal and written threats.While investigating, police found that the teen committed the crime of making criminal threats.Officers went to the 14-year-old boy's home around noon on Larkfield Court near El Camino Real and Del Mar Road in Carmel Valley. The boy was taken to the San Diego Juvenile Hall Detention Facility.RELATED: Parents warned of threats to 3 San Diego County schoolsThe teen's father cooperated with officers and the family's home is not being searched at this time, according to investigators.Later Thursday night, police went back to the home where they served a search warrant. Officers spent less than an hour searching the home. It's unclear what exactly, if anything, police found in the 14-year-old's possession. Following the incident, Superintendent Eric Dill released the following statement:"We are working cooperatively with the San Diego Police Department as they investigate a possible threat involving a student.
