SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Recent rainfall has led to an influx of seabirds washing ashore and becoming beached along San Diego's coast, the San Diego Humane Society said Friday.The organization's Project Wildlife program, which focuses on animal rehabilitation and conservation, has recently cared for multiple seabirds, including loons, western grebes and a blue-footed booby who became beached during periods of high surf and stormy weather.Seabird diets are also affected by rainfall as vacillating ocean temperatures cause their food sources to dive deeper than normal. Consequently, the birds are often too weak to get past strong coastal waves into the open ocean. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Testimony wrapped up Wednesday in the murder trial of two men accused in the stabbing death of a Chula Vista music producer whose body was found in a drum floating in San Diego Bay.Timothy John Cook, 54, is charged with the Sept. 30, 2017, murder of his housemate Omar Medina, 28. The closure will affect all non-foot traffic, according to the convention center, including cars, bikes, skateboards and dockless bikes and scooters.Comic-Con attendees will also need a valid convention badge to access the convention center, its front drive and adjacent terraces and sidewalks. The Navy says those service members will take military flights to the U.S., where they will be required to complete a two-week "restriction-of- movement sequester" either at home or at facilities on base at their home station.The ship originally departed San Diego on Jan. 17 for a deployment, but was diverted to Guam on March 27 when the COVID-19 outbreak took hold, ultimately infecting more than 1,100 sailors, and killing one, Chief Aviation Ordnanceman Charles Thacker, 41.The ship's commanding officer, Capt.
