SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Starting Monday, CVS Pharmacy will begin giving COVID-19 vaccines to staff and residents at California's long term care facilities. On Dec. 18, the first shot was given by a CVS employee at a nursing home in Connecticut."We'll be putting 9,000 vaccinators on the road to give those vaccines across the country," Jonathan Roberts, Vice President of CVS Health, said then.Ten days later, CVS pharmacy will begin its 12-week vaccination program at California's skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police say there may be more victims of a sexual assault suspect arrested last month.Juan Carlos Cordero, 35, was arrested on March 21 for multiple sexual assaults, police say. Based on the evidence though, police are looking other possible victims or persons with information.The crimes may have occurred between early 2015 and March 2019.Cordero is currently in custody and being held on million bail.He's described as a Hispanic male, about 6-feet tall, weighing 185 pounds, with neck length brown hair and unshaven. He also may have identified himself as "JC."Police said Cordero would approach intoxicated women at bars and nightclubs and convince them to go back to his apartment or hotel, where he sexually assaulted them. SDPD added he may have met women through online dating apps, where "he meets us with them, has them consume alcohol and/or drugs, and sexually assaults them." SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police say no foul play was involved with human remains discovered in a fire pit last month.The remains were discovered by a man on Oct. 29, 2020, just after 10:30 a.m. in the fire pit located on the east end of Fiesta Island, according to police. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Wednesday to extend a local and public health emergency in response to the coronavirus.The board cautioned that extending the emergencies did not indicate that the general public faced any higher risk of the virus."Today's vote reaffirmed the County of San Diego's decisive action on Friday to declare a local emergency and local health emergency was the right one," Supervisor Nathan Fletcher said in a statement.
