DENVER — The Director of Product Strategy and Security at Dominion Voting Systems Inc, Eric Coomer, filed a lawsuit in Colorado this week against the Donald J. Trump for President, Inc organization for claims of defamation, civil conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.“I have filed a lawsuit in Colorado in an effort to unwind as much of the damage as possible done to me, my family, my life, and my livelihood as a result of the numerous false public statements that I was somehow responsible for ‘rigging’ the 2020 presidential election,” Coomer said.The 52-page lawsuit filed in the 2nd Judicial District Court also names Sidney Powell; Sidney Powell, P.C.; Rudolph Giuliani; Joseph Oltmann; FEC United; Shuffling Madness Media, Inc. d/b/a; Conservative Daily; Jim Hoft; TGP Communications LLC d/b/a; The Gateway Pundit; Michelle Malkin; Eric Metaxas; Chanel Rion; Herring Networks, Inc. d/b/a; One America News Network; and Newsmax Media, Inc.Coomer claims statements from the defendants have led to death threats, constant harassment and damage to his reputation as a national expert on voting systems.The lawsuit says Oltmann made a claim he infiltrated a conference call with Antifa activists in which he "heard someone identified as 'Eric from Dominion,' and that this 'Eric' stated he would ensure the election went to President-Elect Biden." Oltmann attributed statements made on the alleged call, of which there's no recording, to Coomer, the lawsuit states.From there, Oltmann widely distributed the claims, which quickly spread across media sources, the lawsuit states. The suit goes on to say the President began publishing numerous false statements alleging Dominion interfered with the election; his son and campaign surrogate, Eric Trump, tweeted a photo of Coomer alongside the claims; and the President’s campaign lawyers identified Coomer in a nationally televised press conference where they described him as a “vicious, vicious man” who “is close to Antifa.”“The widespread dissemination of false conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election has had devastating consequences both for me personally and for many of the thousands of American election workers and officials, both Republican and Democratic, who put aside their political beliefs to run free, fair, and transparent elections. (KGTV) - An East County couple is making a plea for help, fearful a power shutoff will be hazardous to their health.Holly and Alan Shields got the call from SDG&E Wednesday night, warning about possible power shutoff. Hours later, the power was shut off at their home in Descanso."My stomach just dropped. You know, it was like, 'What am I going to do?'" said Holly Shields."Nervous and stressed out," added Alan Shields.Both Holly and Alan require breathing aids. Alan, who served in the Army as a welder, suffers from chronic lung issues and must use a CPAP machine to help him breathe while he sleeps.Holly is battling breast cancer."I take very high steroids, which has cut down on the amount of oxygen my lungs can accept, so I have to be on an oxygen machine when I can't breathe," said Holly.Because of the power shutoff, neither Holly nor Alan will be able to their machines."I’m scared to death," said Holly.The two do have a generator, which is outside and has enough juice to power a freezer and heat their seven tortoises."The tortoises have to stay warm. Otherwise, they will go into hibernation, and it will kill them," said Holly.The couple says they couldn't afford an electrician to hook up their generator inside, and can't afford another generator."He lost a lot of work, both of us did, to COVID," said Holly.The couple now finding themselves in a precarious position, worried about how long their power will be out, and unable to breathe easily. They're hoping someone will lend them a generator and help them hook it up."It's tricky hooking it up to a home with solar panels. We have solar panels, but only generate power and send it to SDG&E. DETROIT — A 20-year-old woman believed to have died was found breathing at a Detroit funeral home.According to an attorney hired by her family, workers at the funeral home were close to embalming Timesha Beauchamp before realizing that she was still breathing."They were about to embalm her which is most frightening had she not had her eyes open. They would have begun draining her blood to be very, very frank about it," said Geoffrey Fieger, an attorney who has been hired by Beauchamp's family.On Sunday morning, paramedics with the Southfield Fire Department in Michigan responded after receiving a call about an unresponsive woman. The department's fire chief said Beauchamp was not breathing when the paramedics arrived.First responders determined after 30 minutes of revival efforts that she was deceased."Because there was no indication of foul play, as per standard operating procedure, the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and given the medical data. The patient was again determined to have expired and the body was released directly to the family to make arrangements with a funeral home of their choosing," the chief said in a statement.Fieger says that Beauchamp's godmother — a registered nurse — tried to tell EMS workers that she felt a pulse.Hours later, the staff at the James H. Cole funeral home realized she was still breathing. "It’s one of people's worst nightmares to imagine having an ambulance called and instead, sending you off to a funeral home in a body bag. The funeral home unzipping the body bag, literally, that’s what happened to Timesha, and seeing her alive with her eyes open," Fieger said.Beauchamp is in critical condition at Sinai Grace Hospital and is on a ventilator. Fieger said that the 90-minute delay Beauchamp encountered by going to the funeral home instead of going to the hospital may be critical to her recovery.It is still unclear what led up to the call for the unresponsive woman.“A local emergency department physician pronounced the patient deceased based upon medical information provided by the Southfield Fire Department at the scene. After which, the Southfield Police Department contacted the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office to notify them of the findings and the on-duty forensic pathologist released the body to the family," the Southfield Fire Department said in a statement. "The Southfield Fire and Police Departments followed all appropriate city, county and state protocols and procedures in this case. The City of Southfield is currently conducting a thorough internal investigation in addition to the Oakland County Medical Control Authority (OCMCA) which will be reporting their findings to the State of Michigan Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness (BETP).
