New information has been released in the FBI and White Lake Township police investigation into the murder of professional poker player Susie Zhao. Police were called to find her burned body on July 13 at 8:05 a.m. in the secluded Pontiac Lake Park in Oakland County.RELATED: Man accused in poker player's brutal death had lengthy criminal historyAccording to court documents obtained by 7 Action News: She was identified by fingerprints. She was bound with zip-ties, and sexually assaulted with a large object before being "lit on fire until she died.”Cell phone records show she met with Jeffery Morris the evening before. After Morris was arrested, he told police he picked up Zhao on Watkins Lake Road and they both checked into the Sherwood Motel at around 9:26 p.m.Morris told police they left the motel to buy some alcohol at a party store and returned to the motel.Morris said Zhao left the motel at midnight “and took all of her belongings including her cell phone with her.”According to the court documents, cell phone records indicate that Zhao’s cell phones did not leave until around 5 a.m. And surveillance footage near the motel and phone records show Morris left at that time and drove to the secluded park. Other evidence shows he was there about seven minutes.Days later, the police and FBI would locate Morris and his vehicle in Ypsilanti. A search found several footwear impressions, several hairs, fibers and other items with possible blood stains.Investigators also found duffle bags with Morris’ identification, a fitted bed sheet with apparent blood stains as well as a wooden baseball bat with a possible big blood stain. Those are being tested at the Oakland County Crime Lab.Police said last week the motive for the murder and the reason Morris and Zhao met are still under investigation.Early speculation was "Susie Q," as she’s known in the poker circuit, may have been killed in connection with being a professional player living in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.But now the evidence shows this was home grown deadly trouble that she faced when she met up with Morris, a convicted sex offender. NEW YORK (AP) — “Sesame Street” has always pressed for inclusion. Now in the wake of the national reckoning on race, it’s going further — teaching children to stand up against racism. Sesame Workshop — the nonprofit, educational organization behind “Sesame Street” — will air the half-hour anti-racist special “The Power of We” and hopes families will watch together. The special defines racism and shows how it can be hurtful. It urges children who encounter racism or hear someone else be the victim of it to call it out. Netflix has apologized for images it used to promote an upcoming film on their streaming service after getting backlash online, and a petition to remove the film got almost 190,000 signatures.The movie, called “Cuties” in the U.S., follows an 11-year-old girl who joins a dance group. The film, directed by Ma?mouna Doucouré and originally called “Mignonnes”, won a directing award at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.The petition on Change.org points out the marketing imagery and language Netflix used to promote the film, and calls it “disgusting” because it “sexualizes an eleven year old for the viewing pleasure of pedophiles.”The main image Netflix originally used shows the four lead actresses, all girls, wearing black and turquoise dance outfits revealing their stomachs and most of their legs, while posed mid-dance.The film is recommended for 16+, according to Netflix.https://twitter.com/netflix/status/1296486375211053057“We're deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for Mignonnes/Cuties. NEWPORT, Wales — A 5-year-old girl in Newport, Wales, died just hours after a doctor refused to see her because she was late to her appointment, according to the BBC.The girl's mother, Shanice Clark, has been searching for answers since her daughter, Ellie-May, died from bronchial asthma in 2015, according to the New York Post. Thanks to a coroner’s inquest into her daughter's death, she was finally given some answers on Monday.The coroner ruled that Grange Clinic “missed” the opportunity to “provide potentially live-saving treatment” to her child, Sky News reports.The 5-year-old girl was reportedly not seen by a doctor, despite having an emergency appointment,  because it operated a "10-minute rule."Clark said she and her daughter arrived only five minutes late because they didn't have a car. She said she warned them she might be late when she called the clinic. According to the coroner, this was the first time the rule had been enforced in regards to an emergency appointment. Reports also state that Clark was reportedly told to come back in the morning without the doctor even looking at her daughter’s medical records, which would have shown that the child has a history of asthma.“From the evidence before me, it is not possible for me to determine with certainty whether an earlier intervention would have altered the outcome for Ellie, but nonetheless Ellie should have been seen by a [doctor] that day, and she was let down by the failures in the system,” the coroner wrote.According to the New York Post, Grange Clinic released a statement, saying: “Dr. Rowe knows that nothing can be said to Ellie-May’s family to make a difference, but she would like to say how truly sorry she is.”The coroner plans to write a letter to the health board and the clinic in hopes of addressing the tragedy and preventing similar situations in the future. NEW YORK CITY — Two of New York City’s most well-known monuments donned a brand new accessory Monday: face masks.The enormous masks, which are three feet wide and two feet tall, cover the faces of the lion statues that guard the New York Public Library (NYPL). The giant masks are meant to remind New Yorkers of the executive order that requires people to wear them in public, according to the NYPL.The masks are also meant to remind library visitors that face coverings are required in order to pick up and drop off books.The statues — named Patience and Fortitude — celebrated their 109th birthday in May.“Like them, New Yorkers are strong and resilient and can weather any storm. We will get to the other side of this public health crisis together,” NYPL President Anthony W. Marx said. “But to do so, we must remain vigilant, we must have patience and fortitude, and we must follow what experts tell us, especially as we continue to reopen our cities."It is traditional for the NYPL to decorate the lions, as they do every year with wreaths every December. The pair even wore Mets and Yankees caps when the teams squared off in the 2000 World Series — but this is their first time wearing masks.During the 1930s, Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia named them Patience and Fortitude, for the qualities he felt New Yorkers would need to survive the economic depression, according to the NYPL.
