SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Uber recently released a safety report highlighting the number of sexual assaults reported by passengers between 2017 and 2018.In the two years, nearly 6,000 people reported being sexually assaulted. Of those, 464 reported being raped.“When you get in the car you should be able to feel safe, like nothing is going to happen to you,” said attorney Mike Bomberger. That feeling of security is quickly evaporating in an age where it is completely normal to jump into a car with a stranger.RELATED: Uber safety report reveals nearly 6,000 reports of sexual assaultBomberger’s firm, Estey & Bomberger, represents more than 100 women in approximately 40 states who reported being sexually assaulted in Uber and Lyft rides.Three of the women reported incidents that happened in San Diego.“Each situation here in San Diego is different,” he said. “The one common theme is that a driver, a predator, took advantage of a vulnerable female in the backseat of a vehicle.”He said in most of the cases he represents, the women are intoxicated and trying to get home safely.“You're getting into a car with someone you know nothing about,” he said. “Every single woman that we represent that has been assaulted has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”RELATED: Uber, Lyft riders report being charged for cleanup fees for messes they didn't makeAccording to the report, more than three million Uber trips were taken daily in 2017 and 2018.Bomberger said a key part of the solution, is to install cameras or other recording devices in every Uber and Lyft driver's vehicle."What’s the likelihood of a driver who knows there’s a camera in the car to sexually assault or rape somebody in the car?" he asked. "It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize the changes of that happening are going to be exponentially lower."Uber has already started doing this in some states."I hope their intent is to roll that out in other states as well because that is the single biggest way they’re going to prevent women from being harmed and assaulted," said Bomberger. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two UC San Diego Health workers have tested positive for COVID-19, officials with the medical system announced Saturday.UCSD Health said in a statement that the workers "are recuperating at home and doing well," officials said."Both infected health workers sought medical assessment after exhibiting key respiratory symptoms, and were tested," according to UCSD Health.University officials cite "exposure and infection in the community" as reasons for the workers contracting the virus, rather than from travel or a patient."UC San Diego Health has launched an extensive effort to identify any patients or health system colleagues who may have been in recent contact with either of the two health workers," officials said.The group operates three hospitals: UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest, Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla, and Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center also in La Jolla. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Only in San Diego, an Easter egg hunt on the beach! Hundreds of kids were out in Mission Beach looking for eggs spread out in the sand. Belmont Park hosted the event for the 5th year in a row. Over 13,000 eggs were scattered in the sand, filled with candy, ride wristbands and food vouchers. The hunt was scheduled in age groups so the smaller children would also have a chance to find the prizes. A second Easter egg hunt happened inside of Belmont Park completely free to the public. The event is so popular that some traveled from out of state and even out of the country to have their kids look for the eggs in the sand. Some of the Easter eggs had golden tickets inside, with prizes worth up to .  763
