Marriott International says a guest reservation database has been breached and may have exposed information of approximately 500 million guests.The company says it is investigating and addressing the incident that involves the Starwood guest reservation database. They received an alert on Sept. 8 from an internal security tool regarding an attempt to access the Starwood guest reservation database. Marriott quickly called on security experts to help figure out what happened.Security experts learned there had been unauthorized access to the Starwood network since 2014. On Nov. 19, Marriott was able to decrypt the information and determined that the contents were from the Starwood guest reservation database.For approximately 327 million guests affected by the breach, the information accessed includes some combination of name, mailing address, phone number, email address, passport number, Starwood Preferred Guest account information, date of birth, gender, arrival and departure information, reservation date, and communication preferences.Marriott says they have established a dedicated call center (USA: 877-273-9481) to answer questions guests may have about the breach. Members of the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins were visibly shaken Wednesday after a foul ball injured a child during a game at Yankee Stadium.In the fifth inning of Wednesday's game, Yankees third baseman Todd Frazier hit a foul ball on the third base side that struck a young girl. ESPN didn't replay the incident, but Frazier and members of both teams appeared upset afterward.A nearby fan can be seen immediately signaling for help after the play. Lutz, Fla. — The driver of a Tesla plowed through the wall of an empty storefront and then into the side of the Anytime Fitness on North Dale Mabry Highway in Pasco County, Florida.No one in the gym was hurt, although witnesses tell Scripps station WFTS in Tampa there were several people working out at the time, which was before noon on Sunday, April 22.The driver was also not injured.Florida Highway Patrol and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.The driver told troopers and deputies that she was coming into the parking lot to stop at the nearby nail salon, and said she was pressing the brakes, but the vehicle kept accelerating.The first store she crashed into used to be a karate studio where kids would normally be working out, but that business recently re-located.Her vehicle slammed through a second wall, into the gym next to several treadmills.Authorities did not administer a sobriety test, according to the crash report.Tesla vehicle are equipped with what is called “Auto-Pilot” mode, but auto-pilot is not the vehicle’s mode of functioning, especially if the vehicle is not on a highway and is turning into a parking lot. 1179

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s medical safety commission has approved the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for the coronavirus.Assistant Health Secretary Hugo López-Gatell said Friday that Mexico is the fourth country to do so, behind Britain, Canada, and Bahrain.Mexico is set to receive 250,000 doses of the vaccine, enough for 125,000 people.López-Gatel has said that front-line health workers will get the shots first. Vaccinations are expected to begin as soon as next week.López-Gatel says the approval “is, of course, a reason for hope,” though the initial rounds of shots are not nearly enough for Mexico’s health-care workforce. 654
