SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating Monday a woman's report that she was held against her will in Rancho Pe?asquitos.A woman arrived at a home on Caminito Cuadro at 10:45 a.m. and said she had been kidnapped and held captive in a neighboring house, police said. The location is in a residential area near SR-56 and Carmel Mountain Road.Neighbors told 10News they saw a naked woman covered in a bedsheet leave the home.The woman was taken to a nearby police station for an interview, police said.10News is monitoring developments in this story. 569

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer met with leaders from the Marine Corps on Thursday to officially strengthen their partnership. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding between their organizations to work together on "Smart City" technologies such as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), smart streetlights, renewable energy, and the City's "Get it Done" app. Last year the City of San Diego was selected for a pilot program by the U.S. Department of Transportation to advance the testing of UAS, more commonly referred to as drones. They're already being used by police and fire in Chula Vista. "We will share our experiences, we'll share as we discover uses for data together, and share how advanced technology can benefit the people that we both serve," said Mayor Faulconer. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County and other cities are trying to give businesses and places of worship more options that would allow them to expand into nearby parks, and while some are taking the help, others are finding alternative ways to stay open.Last weekend, in Encinitas, a massive church gathering was organized, with photos of the event posted on social media.At the gathering at Cardiff State Beach, crowds of people were seen singing, praying, and cheering. Of course, social distancing will have to be followed and masks will be required. And they’ll set aside a space for you. And with proper insurance coverage you can use that space for your activities.”County Supervisor Dianne Jacob is looking to expand this option at the county level. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Retail stores across San Diego County are preparing for more restrictions in anticipation of a move into the state's COVID-19 purple tier.For retail stores, it would mean reduced capacity to 25%.At Warwick's in La Jolla, they're setting up window displays, not just to be festive, but also to help shoppers who may not feel comfortable coming inside the book store.Owner Nancy Warwick says she would support the decision if that's what it comes down to, but acknowledges they, like most, are struggling. They've been creative, offering more online shopping, phone orders, deliveries, and contact-free purchases.She says they'll turn one set of doors into an entrance, another the exit, to maintain a flow of traffic and a count of the number of people inside the store if they have to.For Warwick, it's about making her customers feel comfortable as well as her staff, some of whom she says have not returned to work because of safety concerns.Despite that, she is confident their online offerings and their emphasis on personal shopping will help them weather this round of restrictions, if it comes to that.Being in the store, she says, is uplifting, and provides a respite for customers who are looking for nostalgia, finding gifts there that are not available elsewhere. 1302
