ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A high school football player in St. Petersburg, Florida, is brain dead after collapsing during Friday night's game, according to the teen's mother.After a group tackle, 17-year-old Jacquez Welch of Northeast High School never stood back up. Paramedics rushed Welch to Bayfront Hospital where doctors discovered a pre-existing brain condition that no one knew about. They say Jacquez was born with arteriovenous malformation, also known as AVM. It's an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins in the brain. Marcia Nelson, his mother, was in the stands when it happened. She said in a press conference Monday that her son is brain dead and his collapse had nothing to do with the sport."I don't want anybody to be scared of sports," Nelson said. "It just happened to him at an early age, doing what he loved to do."Nelson said the family is working on making her son an organ donor to seven people. The family plans to take Jacquez off life support Monday night after an honor walk at 10 p.m. at Bayfront Hospital. "I am content. This is not anything I could control," Nelson said calmly. He said he did so because he has a friend who was the victim of a sex crime as a child, and he wanted to help identify possible pedophiles.The student said he was "just looking to get someone" to nab, and it was allegedly Davies who messaged him once the photo of him as a female was downloaded from Snapchat and uploaded to various social media platforms, including Tinder and the messaging app Kik. 703

Clem is seeking unspecified damages from his former employer, Cox Media Group, and two of his former employees, Mike "Cowhead" Calta and Matthew "Spice Boy" Lloyd.Calta is the current morning show host on Cox station WHPT and a former coworker of Clem's. Searchers have found a third body buried by an avalanche at an Idaho ski resort, and they confirmed it is a person who was reported missing on Wednesday.
