OMAHA, Nebraska — Just before 5 p.m local time Monday, Omaha Police were called to the scene of a traffic incident involving a school bus near an intersection in North Omaha. Police later confirmed the boy, 8-year-old Haji Mohamed of Omaha, had died. According to a report from OPD received Monday night, "the investigation revealed that a Student Transportation of America school bus had come to a stop along Sprague Street just east of 22nd Street at a designated student drop off location."After several students disembarked the bus, the bus driver continued her route westbound on Sprague Street," the report states. "As the bus was traveling between 22nd Street and 23rd Street, an 8-year old male child who had just disembarked the bus, attempted to run across Sprague Street from north to south. As soon as the child entered the roadway, he was struck by the bus."The boy was transported by emergency personnel to Nebraska Medicine in extremely critical condition. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the boy was pronounced dead, the OPD release states.  Early OPD reports indicated the elementary-aged boy was transported with "extremely critical injuries" to Nebraska Medicine, said Sgt. Chuck Casey of the OPD incident unit, who gave an update near the scene. Omaha Public Schools later confirmed in a statement that the injured boy is a second-grader from Springville?Elementary School, located near 60th and Girard streets, about five miles northwest of the incident. The boy's family was with him at the hospital, Casey said.Early reports indicated the boy was struck by the front of the bus — the only vehicle involved in the incident — but the scene will be under investigation for some time, he said."At this time, Omaha Public Schools administrators, Student Transportation of America and OPS Student Transportation are cooperating with the Omaha Police Department as they investigate the incident," according to a statement from OPS early Monday evening. "Administrators are also supporting and working with the family of the student."Casey said initial reports were that the boy was a passenger on the bus. Other OPS students riding the bus were picked up by a second bus and taken to their destinations, he said.No other injuries were reported at the scene, he said.Watch KMTV station's livestream from the scene earlier today: 2458

One of the girl's video clips includes a look at a room with clothes scattered everywhere. The most recent clip on the account was posted about a week before she escaped from the home.ABC News also reported the teen had an Instagram page -- also using an alias -- that featured selfies, photos of animals and images of singer Justin Bieber.  933

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) — Defense attorneys for 15 Marines accused of human smuggling said they hope the judge dismisses the case. The attorneys argued that the Commander illegally used his power to discipline the Marines publicly, and therefore influenced the outcome of the case.It was a very public display of discipline.Fifteen Camp Pendleton Marines were cuffed and taken away by NCIS agents in front of an 800-person battalion formation in July. They were accused of human smuggling and conspiracy. But now, attorneys representing a few of the accused Marines said the public arrests violated their rights. Now, they are filing what's called an "undue command influence" motion against the Battalion Commander who led the formation."Anytime you have a Commander who is in a position of leadership who potentially affects a subordinate's rights to a fair trial, that can be viewed as potential 'undue command influence,'" military attorney Gary Barthel explained. "This motion for 'undue command influence' was made against the Battalion Commander for making comments and parading the 15 individuals out for what was supposed to be a recognition, and they were ultimately arrested." Barthel is a former legal advisor to Camp Pendleton's Commanding General. He said a Commanding Officer's job is to maintain good order and discipline their command. But in military law, they also wear the prosecutor and jury selector hats."Those two hats can clash," Barthel said. "That's why it's important for Commanding Officers to be careful what they say with regard to their views of the military justice system, or their views of a particular individual who has been accused of an offense."The defense team said the Commander used his power to influence the outcome of the case unfairly. But Barthel said in his experience with 'undue command influence' cases, he believes the military has likely already taken the Commander in question off the case."You can take the individual that allegedly made the statements involved out of the process, and that keeps the process fair and impartial," Barthel said. "I'm not sure that this is going to be a successful motion for 'undue command influence.'"The Marine Corps responded to a 10News inquiry regarding a video of the public arrests. They said: 2295

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Facebook is tightening its policy against QAnon, the baseless conspiracy theory QAnon, which paints President Donald Trump as a secret warrior against a supposed child-trafficking ring run by celebrities and government officials."Starting today, we will remove any Facebook Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts representing QAnon, even if they contain no violent content," a blog post from the company stated on Tuesday. The move comes less than two months after Facebook said it would stop promoting the group and its adherents — but faltered with spotty enforcement. Facebook said since they stepped up these measures in August, they have removed more than 1,500 pages and groups for QAnon containing discussions of potential violence and more than 6,500 pages and groups connected with militarized social movements.Facebook said Tuesday that it will remove Facebook pages, groups and Instagram accounts for “representing QAnon.”"Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts that represent an identified Militarized Social Movement are already prohibited. And we will continue to disable the profiles of admins who manage Pages and Groups removed for violating this policy, as we began doing in August," the company stated. The company said it is starting to enforce the policy as of Tuesday but cautioned that it “will take time and will continue in the coming days and weeks.”"Our Dangerous Organizations Operations team will continue to enforce this policy and proactively detect content for removal instead of relying on user reports. These are specialists who study and respond to new evolutions in violating content from this movement and their internal detection has provided better leads in identifying new evolutions in violating content than sifting through user reports," Facebook said. The company also said they expect renewed attempts to evade detection and they will change their policy and enforcement "as necessary."QAnon began a few years ago as a single conspiracy theory. It has grown in both followers and beliefs since then. The main conspiracy claims dozens of politicians and A-list celebrities work with governments around the world to engage in child sex abuse. Followers also believe there is a “deep state” effort to kill President Donald Trump.Shared conspiracies of the group now include baseless theories on mass shootings and elections. 2392
