SAN FRANCISCO (KGTV) -- The US Coast Guard in San Francisco said Tuesday rescued a man they say was bitten by a shark.According to the Coast Guard, the incident happened near the Farallon Islands. Authorities has to hoist the man into a helicopter after they say he was bitten on the hand or the wrist.At this time, it’s unknown what kind of shark attacked the man. 378

Sears Holdings will close another 63 Kmart and Sears stores following the 2017 holiday shopping season.On Thursday, the company made the announcement to employees at the affected stores, which span 26 states.The closings affect 45 Kmart stores and 18 Sears stores. Co-Founder of REX Jack Ryan said the company uses specific technology to pinpoint the perfect buyer and market your home to them through targeted ads.“The difference is we can find the buyers because we make predictions about who the buyer might be for your home then drop ads on them,” said Ryan.They work with companies like Crate and Barrel and Best Buy to research what potential buyers are shopping for or are interested in and tweak their ads accordingly.“I know people think it’s too good to be true but that’s the miracle of technology today, which is you can target people exactly based upon their behaviors and people think is relevant ads,” said Ryan.Not only do they claim to sell your home faster, Ryan said REX can save thousands of dollars in commissions. “We do everything a real estate agent would do but we do it for 2 percent not 6 percent or 5, 6 percent which can mean ,000 or ,000 to a person,” said Ryan.Susan said what she saved will go toward their retirement.Rex isn’t the only company offering this type of service. Seattle’s mayor says the city will move to wind down the “occupied” protest zone following two recent shootings, including one that left a man dead. Mayor Jenny Durkan said at a news conference Monday that officials are working with the community to bring the “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest” zone to an end after two weeks. The mayor said the violence was distracting from changes sought by thousands of peaceful protesters seeking to address racial inequity and police brutality. The area has drawn President Donald Trump’s scorn.One of the shootings took place late Sunday. SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) — Flames sparked in heavy brush in a Santee riverbed on Thursday, spreading dangerously close to several homes.The three- to four-acre brush fire was reported off Mission Gorge Rd. and Fanita Dr. just after 12 p.m. Sky10 video showed flames in the brush behind homes along Willowgrove Ave.At least one helicopter responded to the fire and quickly began making water drops, pulling water from the San Diego River nearby. Several firefighters were also on the ground spraying the flames from behind homes.One firefighter has been injured, though the severity of their injuries was unclear.San Diego Sheriff's Department said seven or eight homes need to be temporarily evacuated, but should be able to return home since the fire has been contained.SDSO closed Carlton Hills Blvd. between Mission Gorge Rd. and Carlton Oaks Dr. while crews fought the blaze.Crews are expected to be in the area into the night to mop up the area. 955
