WUHAN, April 1, (Xinhua) -- An annual three-month fishing ban began on Sunday on the middle and lower reaches of China's Yangtze River as part of efforts to preserve fish stocks.
Meng, who is also minister of public security, said China hopes both sides will boost cooperation in drug control, enhance information exchanges and effectively combat drug-related crime.
He said China supported the EU to play a bigger role on the international stage.
China Central Television (CCTV) reported on Sunday that several companies have been manufacturing drug capsules with industrial gelatin, which contains a greater amount of chromium than edible gelatin and can be toxic if ingested in excessive amounts. It named several medications that have been packaged in the contaminated capsules.
The current revision was submitted to the NPC Standing Committee for first reading in August 2011 and for second reading in December 2011.
