SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The University of San Diego is working to give a boost to those interested in getting a foot in the door of the ever-growing field of cybersecurity. To create the six-month program, USD partnered with a boot camp company to get people trained and employed in cybersecurity as soon as possible. The program springs out of a need for employees. According to a new economic report, the cybersecurity industry has a more than billion economic impact on San Diego, with a total of 19,660 jobs impacted. More than 150 cyber firms call San Diego home, according to the report. Of those, 75 percent expect to grow their cyber employment in the next 12 months. It's a challenging job market to find those people right now because it is such a high need across the board and across every industry,” said Andy Haass, Chief Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The wife of ex-NFL tight end Kellen Winslow II has filed for divorce, months after the former footballer was convicted of rape.Janelle Winslow filed documents for divorce on Aug. 30 in San Diego, according to records. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Unified School District is releasing an update on the next phases of its plan to reopen schools for in-person learning.The current plan to begin Phase Two for elementary school students is after the winter break on Jan. 4, said SDUSD Board President John Lee Evans.Middle and high Schools will start Jan. 25, at the beginning of the third academic quarter, said Evans.Elementary students will be divided between morning and afternoon sessions to allow for social distancing in the classroom. Middle and high school students will attend in person sessions, two days per week.All families will have the option to continue distance learning, said Evans."What can throw this plan off track? There are two main factors," said Evans.
