U Nyan Tun welcomed Liu to attend the opening ceremony of the 27th Southeast Asian Games being hosted by Myanmar, and thanked China for providing technical assistance for the sports event.
Li will make the three-leg Southeast Asia trip from Oct. 9 to 15 at the invitation of Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
"These moves will motivate China's domestic market with its 1.35 billion population, thus promoting the country's economic development," it said.
"Sharing same or similar stance on major issues concerning the entire interests of the international community, China and Russia will continue strengthening coordination on foreign policies," said the joint communique, adding that the two countries hold that international issues, including the Syria crisis, the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and the Iranian nuclear issue, should be resolved through peaceful means and political dialogue.
Swiss Ambassador to China Jacques de Watteville said that the two countries have developed cooperative relationships in fields such as education, medical care and luxury industries.
