(KGTV) - An unscheduled Veterans Day tribute played out at a cemetery in the North County.More than a week ago, local florist Jenelle Brinneman learned Valley Center's annual Veterans Day program had been canceled by COVID-19, including a ceremony at Valley Center Cemetery.She started raising money online and during her flower deliveries. (KGTV) - Escondido Police shot and killed a man Saturday night steps away from the entrance to the Valley View Casino in North San Diego County, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.The shooting happened about 8 p.m. following a brief pursuit that began on the 1400 block of Timber Glen Rd. in Escondido.Lt. VALLEY CENTER (KGTV) - A house of horrors is what owners Brenda and Travis Fox came home to after evicting the founders of HiCaliber Horse Ranch.Stepping out of your car, you smell the manure. "This is appalling," Veterinarian Adrienne Moore said.Moore unearthed a plastic bag in a pile of horse manure with small horse bones. She believes it was a still birth. She found shoulder and rib bones, hair she postulated either from the mane or tail.The HiCaliber Horse Ranch came under scrutiny, accused of buying sickly horses at auction then killing them at the horse ranch. "As far as the eye can see and what we're walking on right now is still the manure pile," Travis Fox said there were five piles six feet deep of manure. He picked up trash along Grand Avenue for years and was hired by the city to clean up Grape Park in 2017, he would have celebrated his first work anniversary in November.Naylor was also recognized by Mayor Sam Abed for his work.Naylor is not an average city worker. He was hit by a car when he was 7-years-old, while living in Oceanside.
