Two moms wanted a safe place to get their young children involved in the protests calling for police reform and racial equality. So, they created a group called Tiny Activists ATL, where their children could speak out in their own way.“We are tiny people, demanding for a change,” said Addison Carroll, who isn’t even 10 years old yet.“We just want to make our voices heard,” said tiny activist Sawyer Tinguely.These pint-sized protestors have a big mission. “We want to see that everybody can be treated equal so that everyone can make a change,” said Carroll of speaking out about voting rights.From marching the streets to going to the polls, these future voters understand how the system works. Even though they’re not of age yet, they want to be involved.“What Black Lives Matter means to me is that black people can go outside and not feel bad because of the way they look,” said Carroll.“It means that all lives are equal. All people are the same,” said 7-year-old Tinguely.These kids want reform, especially after the death of George Floyd.“What I saw on that video was horrible,” said Carroll. When asked how watching the video of George Floyd’s arrest made her feel, Carroll stated, "Betrayed. Police officers are supposed to protect us, not harm us."“I think it’s pretty rude of that person who killed him to be mean to him just because he used counterfeit money,” said Tinguely.The group gathers each weekend, and their youthful activities, like drawing with chalk or making signs, comes with a discussion about real-life issues facing families today. “We’re planning to go to more protests. We’ve already been to like 10 so far. It’s actually pretty fun,” said Sawyer.“Our goal is to get our kids educated,” said mom Mary Williams. Williams and fellow Atlanta mother of three, Fran Carroll, started the group to make sure their children understood the unrest happening in their community.“This is what we stand for as a family,” said Fran Carroll. “This is the side we’re choosing to stand on in history. We’re going to stand on the right side."If these tiny activists can teach us anything it’s simple: standing up for what you believe is has no height requirement, and wisdom doesn’t always come with age.“A person any age could just change the world,” said Tinguely.Carroll and Williams hope their families and this group will inspire others around the country to do the same with the young kids in their neighborhood. 2442

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) -- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a North County man who disappeared November 14. According to authorities, 54-year-old Brian Lee Danelson was reported missing November 20 after disappearing from the Harvest Farms Market in Valley Center days earlier. Danelson left without his wallet and his cellphone was disconnected, according to his family.Deputies have searched the area surrounding his home in Valley Center and have checked with hospitals to see whether or not he was admitted. According to the Department, Danelson has a tattoo of a tiger on his inner left calf. He is described as six foot tall with gray hair and blue eyes. TUCSON, Ariz. — Former USA Gymnastics doctor and convicted sexual predator Larry Nassar has been moved from a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona.According to ESPN, Nassar’s attorneys said in a court filing that Nassar was assaulted after being put into the general population at the Tucson Federal Correctional Complex.ESPN.com reports Nassar is an inmate at Oklahoma City’s Federal Transfer Center. It is unclear where he will be placed after being held in Oklahoma.  Nassar was sentenced up to 175 years in prison after more than 150 women said he sexually abused them. 603

Universal Orlando has updated its face mask policy after reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic.When the Florida theme park reopened on June 3, the resort said guests could remove their masks while eating and drinking.But this week, the park updated its mask policy saying guests must be "actively eating or drinking" and socially distance themselves before removing their masks."Guests must wear face coverings at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking, and they must also be socially distanced from other travel parties while consuming their food or beverage," the policy states. "Inside restaurants, we have arranged tables and seating so that guests can safely remove their face coverings while enjoying their dining experience."The park stated that the face coverings must cover your mouth and nose and be at least two layers thick.The resort says the following are not permitted at Universal Orlando:Face coverings with exhalation valvesFace coverings that are not secured with ear loops or secured around your headFace coverings that include mesh material or holes of any kindCostume masks or veils, per our costume guidelinesThe masks must also fit under your chin securely and fit against the side of your face snug. 1250
