LOS ANGELES (KGTV) -- Comedian Kevin Hart suffered “major back injuries” following a crash in Los Angeles early Sunday morning, TMZ reports. According to TMZ, the crash happened around 1 a.m. in Malibu Hills along the Mulholland Highway and Cold Canyon Road. Police tell TMZ Hart was not driving at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle also sustained major back injuries. A woman who was also in the car at the time of the crash didn’t require treatment. KABC reports that the three were riding in Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when the driver lost control, veered off the road and rolled down an embankment. Authorities say the driver hadn’t been drinking at the time of the crash. 707
(AP) — Airbnb will prohibit one-night rentals over Halloween weekend as part of its ongoing effort to crack down on party houses. The action comes nearly a year after a deadly shooting at an Airbnb in Orinda, Calif. Five people were killed in the shooting, which happened during an unauthorized Halloween party. Airbnb says it will ban one-night rentals of entire homes in the U.S. and Canada on Oct. 30 or Oct. 31. Previously booked rentals will be canceled and Airbnb will offer refunds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A sixth robbery suspect was taken into custody following an hours-long SWAT standoff in City Heights Friday afternoon. Police arrived to arrest several suspects on the 3600 block of University Avenue around 11 a.m. Several people were detained, but at least one of the suspects refused to surrender, Sgt. Just after 5 p.m., a flash bang could be heard going off near the building. Just before 6:30 p.m. Friday, San Diego Police said all the suspects had been "peacefully taken into custody." Captain Anthony Dupree confirmed the suspects were being investigated for a string of about 20 robberies throughout the mid-city region, extending into La Mesa and El Cajon as well.
