Syracuse University has suspended a professional fraternity after video footage surfaced showing members exhibiting "extremely racist" behavior, according to the university's chancellor.Videos purport to show members of Theta Tau, an engineering fraternity, repeatedly using racial slurs and simulating sex acts.Chancellor Kent Syverud called the behavior "offensive" in a statement to the campus community Wednesday. 425

Taco Bell said on Thursday that it is eliminating one of its most iconic and long-time menu items from its list of options.The Mexican Pizza will be removed from the Taco Bell menu starting November 5. Other items leaving the menu are the pico de gallo and shredded chicken. The shredded chicken is used in a number of items, including quesadillas, tacos and burritos.Taco Bell is adding a chicken chipotle melt, which is grilled chicken, creamy chipotle sauce and cheddar cheese; and the Dragonfruit Freeze, which is a tropical frozen beverage. SYMMES TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- An Ohio man on Thursday kidnapped an 84-year-old woman at knifepoint, stole money from her and forced her to chauffeur him to a drug deal, according to a news release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil said authorities believe Brent Engel, 31, cornered and threatened the victim when she returned to her car after shopping at a CVS in Loveland, Ohio. Engel then forced the woman to drive to an ATM, withdraw money and drive him to purchase drugs, which he then used in the car.After five hours of ordering the victim to drive him around Hamilton County, Engel exited the vehicle and escaped, Neil said.The woman was not hurt in the incident. Engel, whose records include prior convictions for burglary, theft and drug use as well as an affiliation with a gang, now faces charges of aggravated robbery and abduction. He had not been arrested by Friday night.Neil said civilians with information about Engel's whereabouts should alert authorities immediately. Because of his gang affiliation, he “should be considered dangerous," and members of the public should not approach him. 1176

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her office Wednesday evening, according to a statement Thursday morning from court Public Information Officer Kathy Arberg.Ginsburg, 85, went home afterward, but she experienced "discomfort overnight" and went to George Washington University Hospital early Thursday, Arberg noted: "Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment."Falls are "incredibly dangerous," said Dr. Adam Shiroff, director of the Penn Center for Chest Trauma and an associate professor of trauma surgery at Penn Medicine.
