The 2019 Consumer Electronics Show is happening now in Las Vegas and one of the products featured at the conference is all the talk on social media. Do you hate folding laundry? Do you hate folding laundry so much that you would pay up to ,000 just to have a giant robot do it for you? There's a laundry-folding robot that might actually be available to purchase by the end of 2019 and it was premiered at the Consumer Electronics Show this week. FoldiMate, the company who created the product, also the name of the robot, has been a big name at the conference for the past few years, promising to change the folding game. Well, this year, they actually debuted a fully functioning prototype of the concept. FoldiMate, based in Israel, says the laundry-helping robot "will fold most types of shirts, blouses, or pants from age 6 to adult size XXL. It will also fold standard size towels and pillowcases." They say it's family friendly and anyone in the family can help fold laundry. It can help you keep your closet and dressers organized, keeping piles of messy laundry from accumulating in your home. Though it can fold lots of clothes, according to the company, it'll still be up to you to figure out how to fold that ridiculous fitted sheet because FoldiMate can't help you there. The good news? They claim you can get your laundry folding done in under five minutes because it only takes a few seconds to fold one item. The company is hoping to launch the product in "late 2019" and you can add your name to the waitlist on 1543

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is reviewing about 0,000 it received from foundations controlled by accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, MIT's president said. The school also will donate that amount to a charity benefiting Epstein's victims or other sexual abuse victims, President L. Rafael Reif said in an email. The review will focus on the facts around the donations, made over 20 years, and how the school handles contributions and can improve that process, Reif said.Epstein was awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking involving underage girls when he killed himself by hanging in a New York jail cell this month."I offer a profound and humble apology" to the victims on behalf of the administration, Reif said. "With hindsight, we recognize with shame and distress that we allowed MIT to contribute to the elevation of his reputation, which in turn served to distract from his horrifying acts. No apology can undo that."The donations went to the MIT Media Lab or Seth Lloyd, a professor of mechanical engineering, according to Reif's email. 1078

The medical journal BMJ published a report today that links a lower risk of early death to higher levels of physical activity at any intensity in middle-aged and older people.Previous studies have repeatedly suggested that any type of sedentary behavior, such as sitting still, is not good for your health. Being sedentary for 9.5 hours or more a day, excluding sleeping time, is associated with an increased risk of death.Led by Prof. Ulf Ekelund of the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences located in Oslo, Norway, researchers analyzed studies that assessed how physical activity and sedentary time were linked with risk of an early death.Using accelerometers -- a wearable device that tracks the volume and intensity of activity -- to measure total activity, intensity levels were separated into categories of light, moderate and vigorous.Cooking or washing dishes were examples of light intensity, brisk walking or mowing the lawn were considered moderate intensity, and jogging or carrying heavy loads were used as examples of vigorous intensity. The risk of death for participants was approximately five times higher for those who were inactive compared to those who were the most active, according to the researchers. The study was conducted in the United States and Western Europe on 36,383 adults who were at least 40 years old with an average age of 62. Participants were tracked over an average of 5.8 years. However, the findings in the study may not apply to other populations and younger people. At least 150 minutes of moderate intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity each week are recommended guidelines, 1642

The mystery surrounding a little boy found sleeping on a Buffalo porch continues to grow. Buffalo Police updated the media late Tuesday morning, describing this as a, "very, very complicated case." Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo says they are working closely with the boy's grandparents who recently arrived from Florida. The boy's grandmother tells 7 Eyewitness News reporter Ali Touhey the boy's name is Noelvin and that they intend to take custody of him. Meantime, we're told, the toddler's parents, 24-year-old Nicole Mersed and 31-year-old Miguel Valentin, haven't made contact with their family since Sunday. According to police, they will be issuing pictures of Noelvin's parents and a family friend, anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact the department's homicide unit at 716-851-4466. The boy's grandmother tried to take custody of him, but that request was temporarily denied. She's expected to be back in Buffalo in October for a custody hearing. 1005
