Police are investigating two related robberies that happened late last night.A 71-year-old woman, her adult daughter and juvenile granddaughter were robbed by 2 men around 11:18 p.m. in the parking garage at Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip. Police say the 3 females were battered during the incident. The extent of their injuries are unknown.Next, police say a couple, both of whom are 18 years old, were robbed by the 2 men with a gun in a parking lot at Fashion Show mall.Police spotted the men in the parking garage of the SLS hotel-casino. Police in Washington, D.C. released body camera video Thursday from the shooting death of 18-year-old Deon Kay.Police said the incident began Wednesday when Kay and his friends brandished firearms on a social media livestream. Officers located where the livestream was taking place, drove to the scene and found the group.Less than 10 seconds after arriving on the scene, Officer Alexander Alvarez fired the fatal shots that killed Kay.According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham, Alvarez was chasing another suspect at the time of the shooting."When he turned around, that's when Deon Kay approached him and displayed a handgun, and in response to that, the officer fired one round," Newsham said. "Unfortunately, Deon Kay lost his life."Alavarez had been with the department for two years prior to the shooting. All officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave, which is department policy.Police also said that Kay threw his gun away prior to being shot. Officers found it 90 feet away from his body."I know that he's validated gang member from the area and I know that he's had multiple touches with the criminal justice system," Newsham saod. "I'm pretty sure Deon Kay fell through multiple safety nets before yesterday afternoon."Washington, D.C. PINE VALLEY (KGTV) -  Nineteen people are in custody after the horse trailer they were traveling in crashed Saturday on Interstate 8, about 55 miles east of San Diego, Border Patrol said.The trailer, which was being pulled by a Ford F250 pickup truck, separated from the truck and overturned on its right side just before noon, according to the California Highway Patrol. Border Patrol agents said that the trailer was smuggling people into the country and all of the apprehended people identified as Mexican nationals. The driver of the truck managed to escape, according to Border Patrol.Six people were injured in the crash and two of them had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment, Border Patrol told 10News.Witnesses said people ran out of the overturned horse trailer. PHOENIX, Arizona — Google's self-driving car is likely going to be on the road before 2018 ends.The Waymo driverless taxi service will first be on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona, and it will launch without much government oversight — it isn't required like it is for new airplanes and medical devices, for example. Bloomberg reports it will have a new name when it launches in December. PALOMAR MOUNTAIN (CNS) - Due to overnight snowfall and current low temperatures, chains were being required today on Palomar Mountain, the California Highway Patrol said.Only vehicles with chains, or four-wheel drive snow-rated tires, will be allowed access, authorities said."The CHP and the San Diego Sheriff's Department will be patrolling the area to monitor trespassing and make sure the roadways are kept clear of parked vehicles," said Oceanside CHP Officer Mark Latulippe, who pointed out there are limited facilities on Palomar Mountain for food, restrooms and trash.Mountain visitors were being urged to respect the privacy of residents and private property.Officials also recommend using extra caution on slippery roads, reducing speed and increasing following distance due to compromised visibility in wintery conditions.The CHP also reminded visitors to Palomar Mountain to "practice good snow etiquette."That involves:Parking only where legally allowed, and not blocking roadway accessfor emergency vehicles.
