Beijing's Chaoyang district government announced on Wednesday night that the authorities have investigated the water quality in the Dougezhuang area where a number of residents reported experiencing acute gastro-enteritis and discovered it was caused by multifactorial comprehensive contamination. The investigation group composed of experts on epidemic diseases, water quality and the environment released their results, saying water quality in the area has reached national drinking water standards.
