In his first comments since the FBI raid on his home and office, Michael Cohen said the FBI agents "were extremely professional, courteous and respectful."The comments contrast with President Donald Trump who complained Monday that agents "broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys.""I am unhappy to have my personal residence and office raided. But I will tell you that members of the FBI that conducted the search and seizure were all extremely professional, courteous and respectful. INDIANAPOLIS — Parents of two girls who attend Horizon Christian School on Indianapolis’ northeast side say their daughters are being bullied and threatened because of the color of their skin.Alexander Wortham realized something was happening when his daughter, Imani, started acting strange, asking to stay home from school more often than a typical teen girl.He and Dominique Duncan soon found out that their two high school daughters were being bullied.“Silence is killing our young people," Wortham said. "People not dealing with the issue. Not dealing with the problem and I think for us, as parents, enough is enough."Duncan agreed.“Very let down as a parent. Very let down,” Duncan said.Imani and her friend, LaShanti, say a male student started bullying them at school saying things like “If the school ever gets shot up, you’ll be the first one to get shot.”“He pointed to me personally, he looked me in the eye,” Imani said.“He said he would sell me into slavery if I didn’t do what he said and then he started making little jingles about slavery,” LaShanti said.According to an email the parents received from a school administrator, the school suspended the student last week after the girls’ parents brought the issue to the administration’s attention. But that student was allowed to return to class on Monday.The girls felt so uncomfortable, they both decided to stay home this week.“We should be able to go to school and not feel threatened, scared or having to be on edge the whole time,” Imani said.Both parents say they want the school to create more concrete policy changes on bullying. They both suggested an all-school assembly or bringing experts in to discuss race relations and bullying.The Horizon Christian School principal denied to comment on the situation, saying it’s against school policy to discuss students without permission from all parents involved.  1900

WHAT CHANGES TODAYFor nearly thirty years, NAFTA, which stands for the North American Free Trade agreement, governed trading between the United States, Mexico and Canada. It basically sets the rules by which companies needed to follow in order to avoid paying a tariff or fee to ship their product within one of those North American countries. In recent years however, Democrats and Republicans have both criticized the agreement as a reason companies moved their jobs overseas, particularly to Mexico or Asian countries. Beginning today, NAFTA is no more with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) in effect. WHAT'S DIFFERENTThe trade agreement has been read over and scrutinized by lawyers of Fortune 500 companies for months, but some of the biggest impacts affect the auto industry, the steel industry and dairy farmers. Under the agreement, in order to avoid a tariff, 75% of a car must be built in North America. 70% of the steel and aluminum in a car must also come from North America. It also demands 40-45% of the car be built by workers earning at least /hour. That last provision is key because those new wages are nearly triple what Mexico is paying it's workers right now in some instances. Dairy farmers in the United States will also have expanded access into Canada, which is something the US agricultural community has called for years. WILL IT CREATE JOBSThe White House claims this new deal will result in hundreds of thousands of jobs in the coming years. Regarding whether any new jobs are being created right now, Treasury Department spokeswoman Monica Crowley said it is too soon to tell. The vaccine has been considered 94.1% effective against the virus. According to Moderna, none of the thousands who were given two shots of the vaccine had severe COVID-19 symptoms. That is compared to 30 patients who were given a placebo who had symptoms.While the vaccine could nearly eliminate the number of hospitalizations and deaths associated with the virus, the shot might result in some symptoms."I actually had some pretty significant symptoms after I got the second dose. Once I got the second dose, I was fine while I was in the hospital. But that evening was rough. I mean, I developed a low-grade fever, and fatigue and chills," Batalvi told CNN.But by the next day, Batalvi said he felt “ready to go.”In an interview with CNN last week, Operation Warp Speed chief scientific adviser Moncef Slaoui said that 10 to 15% of those immunized had noticeable side effects.“Most people will have much less noticeable side effects.
