SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 22-year-old man was stabbed early today and he walked into a Kerny Mesa hotel for help.The stabbing was reported at 2:05 a.m. in the 5400 block of Kearny Mesa Road, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.The wounded man walked into the lobby of the Marriott hotel to get help, Heims said.The victim was taken to a hospital for a stab wound in his body that is not believed life-threatening, he said.He described his assailant as a bald male, about 6 feet tall, with tattoos. SAN DIEGO -- Video taken Tuesday shows people climbing on top of the border fence near Friendship Park near the Pacific Coast US/Mexico border as the migrant caravan approaches.According to a Border Patrol spokesperson, agents are keeping watch on the U.S. side of the park, but aren’t aware of anyone climbing all the way over onto the U.S. side of the beach.Border Patrol says it’s technically not legal for people to sit on the fence because it’s on U.S. soil, but no arrests are being made at this time.It’s unclear whether or not the group is with the migrant caravan.The incident comes as U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced the closure of several northbound border lanes in San Ysidro and Otay Mesa.The closures are expected to cause delays. 765

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 22-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Mission Valley West, authorities said this morning.The crash occurred in the 6700 block of Friars Road at 5 p.m. Friday, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.The man was driving a 2014 Chevy Malibu and making a left turn onto Friars Road from his apartment complex when a 33-year-old woman driving a 2020 Tesla Model Y crashed into the Malibu. The man sustained fatal injuries and his 22-year-old wife, who was a passenger in the car, sustained minor injuries, Heims said.No other injuries were reported. SAN DIEGO — The County Office of Education is taking its annual job fair entirely online, with already more than 800 registered job seekers. The job fair, which is regularly held at Liberty Station, will instead feature virtual lobbies and virtual tables. Dr. Sheiveh Jones, who organized the fair for the office of education, said more than 25 school districts and charter schools are participating. She said there may not be as many openings as in prior years because of temporary budget uncertainty, but that could change by the end of the summer. "When a position does open, the district may invite you to apply or they may just recognize your name when they look at the applications," she said. Jones said the districts are hiring for both academic and non-academic positions. She added there is always demand for bilingual, special education, STEM and substitute teachers. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Utah Amber Alert has been activated for a 6-year-old boy who was abducted Saturday night.Investigators are looking for Terran Alexander Butler and his mother, 43-year-old Emily Jolley.Terran is Caucasian, 4 feet tall, 40 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black gym shorts, hiking boots, and a green t-shirt with blue sleeves.Jolley is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
