(KGTV) – A two-vehicle collision on an Oceanside street sent 10 people to the hospital late Sunday night.Oceanside police said the crash occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on state Route 76 at Douglas Drive.According to police, a silver sedan ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck with a family inside. The impact caused the truck to flip onto its side.A man, a pregnant woman and two children were trapped in the truck, while six people in the sedan were also trapped.It took emergency crews about 30 minutes to free the trapped people from both vehicles.The 10 people were taken to local hospitals with unspecified injuries. Fire personnel said at least six of the victims had “critical” injuries.The crash is under investigation, and police are trying to determine if the driver of the silver sedan was under the influence at the time of the collision. 887

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Almost two months after reopening, Universal Orlando is laying off an undisclosed number of workers. Universal spokesman Tom Schroder said in an email Monday that the Florida theme park resort was reducing its workforce "to reflect current priorities and needs." Universal has put the construction of a new theme park, Epic Universe, on pause because of the pandemic. Universal Orlando closed its doors in March as the novel coronavirus started spreading in the U.S. It was the first of Orlando's major theme park operators to reopen when it welcomed back visitors in early June. The team works to build trust among their homeless clients in hopes the trust will lead to them accepting help.Their client Joel relapsed after nine months. He wants help but can’t get a prescription after losing his ID. Thanks to recent city funding, a second social worker was hired to the team.A separate team works to tackle homeless encampments in the riverbed. "We are seeing about 10 to 15 thousand mail-in ballots requested a day (in Pennsylvania)," Corrigan said. These ballot requests are overwhelming elections offices across the state."Pennsylvania law prohibits county boards of elections from counting any absentee ballots or mail-in ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day when polls close," Corrigan added. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled Thursday that ballots can arrive until 5 p.m. ET on the Friday after the election and still count.
