NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — President Donald Trump thanked an Indiana teacher for helping thwart a school shooting on Friday at Noblesville West Middle School outside of Indianapolis."Thanks to very brave Teacher & Hero Jason Seaman of Noblesville, Indiana, for his heroic act in saving so many precious young lives. His quick and automatic action is being talked about all over the world!" Trump tweeted.Seaman is a science teacher at the school, and multiple students on the scene say Seaman was the teacher who helped stop the shooter.His mother, Kristi, says her son was shot in the abdomen, the hip and the forearm, according to her Facebook page. She says Jason is out of surgery and is "doing well."According to his LinkedIn page, Seaman has been a science teacher at Noblesville schools since July 2014. He is also the head football coach for the seventh-grade team.A student who was in the classroom at the time of the incident credited the teacher with stopping the shooting from being worse than it was.Southern Illinois University football also tweeted about Seaman. NEW YORK -- Lori Gaeta gets a cup of coffee every day at a cafe on Lexington Avenue in New York City.Last week, she got a cup coffee and started a conversation with a homeless man that changed both of their lives.Gaeta says she met the homeless man, named William, on 61st Street. It was a conservation she couldn't get out of her mind.“He was paralyzed in a broken down wheelchair. I just felt he could use a blessing,” said Gaeta.All she knew about him is he is 61 years old and his name is William, he became paralyzed and is now homeless.She noticed his wheelchair was being held together with duct tape and was falling apart. She asked him if it was alright for her to get him a new chair.Gaeta sprung into action and started an online quest asking for help posting on a site called Nextdoor. Generous New Yorkers immediately came forward offering used chairs.Then a total stranger, named Elizabeth Menegan, offered to buy William a new chair, spending over 0.“You know that saying it takes a village to raise a child? Well, this took an entire neighborhood to bless this man. New heart health research found that taking a low-dose daily aspirin to cut chances of a heart attack or stroke may have risks that outweigh the benefits.The latest studies revealed the effects of the blood-thinning, anti-inflammatory drug on patients, who did not yet develop heart disease or other heart-related issues but were at moderate risk.Research found aspirin does help patients with diabetes, who are at higher risk to develop or die from heart problems. However, the risk of serious bleeding far outweighed the benefit of taking the drug.The study found aspirin was not effective in preventing heart attacks or strokes for moderate risk patients, because they had other health issues, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and smoking.Doctors also cautioned using fish oil supplements, instead of aspirin, would have similar disappointing results. Instead, health professionals suggest eating fish to improve your heart’s health.Fish oil may be more beneficial for people who have already suffered a heart attack. 1043
North Korea has been sending supplies to Syria that could be used to produce chemical weapons, a United Nations Security Council diplomat has told CNN.Speaking on condition of anonymity, the diplomat said that North Korea had sent acid-resistant tiles, valves and thermometers to Syria.
