CHICAGO (AP) — An attorney for a U.S. Army special forces sergeant arrested in what authorities are calling an apparently random shooting at an Illinois bowling alley that left three dead has told an initial hearing that her client may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Duke Webb appeared in a Winnebago County courtroom in Rockford Monday. He faces three counts of murder and three counts of first-degree attempted murder in the shooting at Don Carter Lanes, in Rockford, on Saturday. According to The Associated Press, the three men who died were aged 73, 65, and 69.The AP reported that two teenagers were wounded - a 14-year-old boy was shot in the face, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder, and a 62-year-old man who was shot several times.His lawyer also told the court Webb appeared to have issues with memory loss and that he'll undergo mental health evaluations. An email was sent home to parents earlier this week confirming Harris is currently assigned to the San Dieguito Union High School District's Administrative Office amid an investigation into allegations of "inappropriate conduct toward former students." Across the La Costa Canyon campus, there was a sense of disbelief."This doesn't jive with what his typical personality is like. I wouldn't expect this from him," said Fabito.Early this school year, student Mary Harris took a literature class taught by Farris."He liked to joke around but never made anyone feel uncomfortable. Just a happy, fine guy," said Harris.Some parents told 10News they were upset it took months for the school district to inform them. As for the teacher at the center of the probe, he agreed to talk to 10News. By phone, Farris told 10News he couldn't say much, but did maintain his innocence. "These allegations are false.
