Just weeks ahead of the midterm elections, U.S. election databases are coming under attack.A new report finds election hacking attempts have been building since April. One troubling note: the government does not know who is behind the attacks.“Well, it is worrisome. (KGTV) — A family-owned Mexican restaurant in La Jolla that was a local favorite for 52 years has officially closed its doors.On Monday, crews began clearing out Su Casa Mexican restaurant on La Jolla Blvd. The restaurant, known for its margaritas and fresh guacamole prepared at the table, opened in 1967."I feel like I'm losing a lot of my own history. It's really sad," said longtime customer Eric Lind.Lind estimated that he and his family ate at Su Casa roughly 200 times since the 1970s."It was just the food, the hospitality, and the ambiance. Everything about it, the whole package, it was just special," he said.On Facebook, dozens of customers posted farewells and memories. "My now-husband of nearly 25 years asked me to marry him after dinner at Su Casa on June 17, 1994. You're part of our story," one woman wrote.A note posted on the door of the Spanish-style building said after more than half a century, the owner and the restaurant "are ready to retire." KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A woman was shot and killed about 3:30 Saturday morning in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to an ambulance call and discovered a woman shot. Kindrea Brown, 24 was found shot to death in her own bed.Janet Brown says she heard gunfire late Friday night but went to bed shortly thereafter. She had no idea that her youngest daughter, who was asleep in her bed, had been shot."I heard gunshots. That's all I heard. We checked and laid back down." said Brown.Brown went to her daughter's room Saturday morning to wake her up for work. "I get her up every morning and mess with her before she goes to work. I went back to wake her up and she didn't wake up. I couldn't get her up. She didn't respond to me anymore." said Brown.No other information has been released.
