OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - An Oceanside man says his dog is healing from a close encounter with a coyote that was caught on his doorbell camera. CC, a 13-year-old Maltipoo, was attacked by the coyote Wednesday about 9 p.m. at her home on Morgan Creek Way. “Thinking I’m never going to see her again,” said Joe Vines Jr., CC’s owner. Video from the Ring camera shows CC scurrying into the front yard as Vines locks his door. He was about to put CC in the car to run errands when he heard her cry for help. Vines turned around to find CC in the coyote’s jaws. RELATED: Dog named Roadrunner escapes coyote in chase down Vista street“His whole mouth was around her body, holding her like that,” Vines said. “In my head I’m thinking, I’m not going to let me dog….I’m not going to let her leave in someone's mouth.” Vines chased down the coyote, which dropped CC nearby. CC had several deep bites. She suffered two broken ribs and now has breathing problems. Vines will keep a closer eye on his dog from now on. The Helen Woodward Animal Center said it has been receiving more reports of coyote attacks than ever before. On Sunday morning, Annie Kane — a viewer of Scripps station KNXV in Phoenix — captured video of a coyote and snake coming face-to-face in Mesa, Arizona. The two don't get physical, but in the video the coyote tries lunging at the snake a few times.Ultimately, we don't know how this meeting came to an end but it still gave us a cool look at these native creatures interacting. Watch the video of the encounter in the player above.The video is the latest in a series of animal encounter videos in the region. On Saturday, a KNXV?viewer shared video of two bobcats fighting in Scottsdale.?Earlier in the week, a fight between a snake and a bobcat was captured by a KNXV viewer in Scottsdale as well.? 732

ONTARIO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Two children were found dead in a home in Ontario, California Tuesday night, according to police. Police say the responded to the 500 block of East Tam O’Shanter Street around 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Ontario Police Department said in a series of tweets that officers discovered two children dead in the home. One adult was taken to the hospital. Police say the cause of death is unclear at this time and the investigation is ongoing. According to police, the incident is being investigated as suspicious. Ontario Police are working a suspicious death at a residence in the 500 block of East Tam O Shanter St. One adult has been transported to the hospital for treatment. Not many people like being caught speeding and getting ticketed, but one person's solution to not getting caught might lead to even more trouble. The Metropolitan D.C. Police released video earlier this week of a suspect getting out of a car and smashing a camera designed to catch and ticket speeders. The video shows the suspect knocking over the machine, kicking it a few times and throwing the camera into a ditch before getting back into a car and speeding off. WJLA-TV reported that this incident caught on video was one of six incidents that took place in DC last week. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made in connection to these incidents.  685

OMAHA, Nebraska — Omaha resident and Sutton native Elliott Bottorf got a surprise while on a Saturday morning drive in North Central Nebraska. Bottorf and his wife passed a longhorn steer riding in the passenger's side of a sedan on Highway 20 near O'Neill.  A cattle guard replaced the passenger's door and part of the roof was taken off the vehicle for the steer's head to stick out.As of Wednesday, the video, which he posted to Facebook on March 17, had been viewed more than 3.8 million times and shared more than 80,000 times.Some have commented wondering if the steer was real or fake."At first, I wasn't sure if it was alive or not but after reviewing the video you could clearly see that it had some snot coming out of its nose," Bottorf explained. "You could see its eyes blinking."The driver and the steer were on their way to O'Neill to be in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. 922
