A Baltimore restaurant issued an apology after video showed a Black woman and her son being denied service because of the boy’s clothes, despite the video showing a white child being served while dressed a similar way. The videos and images posted by Marcia Grant show herself and her son being refused to be seated at Ouzo Bay, with a manager explaining it was because the boy was wearing athletic shorts and sneakers. A white boy who had been served was wearing a similar outfit, Grant pointed out. The unidentified manager told Grant the shorts weren't the same. "You tell me there is no athletic wear. That little boy out there had on athletic tennis shoes and shirt. So why does he get to wear athletic wear and not my son?" Grant can be heard asking in the video. A 36-year-old Washington woman is claiming that a DNA test she took on Ancestry.com showed that her biological father was her parents' fertility doctor, the Washington Post reported. According to the Washington Post, Kelli Rowlette's DNA test claimed that she had a parent-child relationship with Gerald E. Mortimer, a fertility doctor in Idaho. Rowlette said she did not know her mother used artificial insemination. The doctor had diagnosed Rowlette's father with low sperm count and her mother with a tipped uterus. Mortimer recommended inseminating Rowlette's mother with sperm from both her husband and an anonymous sperm donor. According to the Washington Post, the couple asked for a donor who was at least 6-foot-tall, in college and had brown hair and blue eyes. Mortimer had told her parents that he used a match for the sperm donation. Mortimer did not meet Rowlette's parents standards for sperm donation. Mortimer was also listed as Rowlette's delivery doctor, and signed her birth certificate. A lawsuit has been filed in federal court against Mortimer for fraud and medical negligence.To read the Washington Post's full report, click here.  1273

(KGTV) — Los Angeles Police are investigating the death of a six-month-old fetus found in the bathroom of a Sherman Oaks grocery store.Police received the call at about 3 p.m. about an infant's body at a Ralphs grocery store in the 4400 block of Burbank Boulevard, according to ABC-affiliate Los Angeles station KABC.The fetus was discovered in a toilet by a witnessed who then called police, LAPD Sgt. Hector Guzman said during a press conference. Fire personnel arrived and determined it had died.Guzman said they have identified a woman they believed to be the mother and have interviewed her to figure out what happened, according to KABC.Ralphs issued a statement to KABC, saying the bathrooms are behind the scenes and don't impact the safety of customers, employees, and the public.By Wednesday evening, police determined no crime had been committed and no arrests were made, KABC reported. Authorities plan to investigate whether it was a medical emergency. 998
