A Cape Coral, Florida woman is in jail on a DUI charge after police say she bought more wine after crashing in a Publix parking lot.50-year-old Lisa Lehman is facing charges of DUI and Hit and Run.According to Cape Coral Police, around 8 a.m. Sunday, a customer came out of the Publix on Cape Coral Parkway to find her parked vehicle damaged.As the victim talked to police at the scene, Lehman arrived, placed a brown bag in her car, and identified herself as the driver of the car.  She admitted that she had hit and damaged the victim's car. Officers noted that Lehman was having balance issues and smelled of alcohol.EMS checked Lehman and found no medical issues, and officers conducted a DUI investigation, during which she failed several sobriety tests, according to a police report.Lehman was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.A search of her vehicle revealed an empty Chardonnay bottle under a seat, and the brown bag contained a bottle of Moscato she had just purchased from Publix. 1040

A growing number of countries are banning travelers from the United Kingdom after a new coronavirus variant was found there.A variant or mutation happens when the genetic structure of a virus changes and this is common.The variant first appeared in September. Health experts have found it is more infectious than the original virus.“Let me tell you what, there is no evidence of nor reason to believe, it is not any more lethal or any more dangerous than the normal coronavirus, no evidence to suggest that, no reason to believe it,” said Admiral Brett Giroir, Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).The variant has already been found in Australia, Denmark, South Africa and the Netherlands. Italy reports it has at least one patient infected with the mutation.While the U.K. works to control the new variant, several countries have banned flights coming from there, as well as countries where they've seen such infections.Despite the mutation, health officials remain adamant that it's important to get the COVID-19 vaccine.“There is also no evidence to suggest nor reason to believe that it would evade our vaccines that we have right now. A growing number of Hispanics along the Texas-Mexico border with birth records showing they were born in the United States are being denied American passports, held in immigration detention centers, and entered into deportation proceedings, immigration attorneys and individuals affected told the Washington Post.According to the Post report, the issue stems from a government allegation that from the 1950s through the 1990s, midwives and physicians working along the border issued American birth certificates to babies born in Mexico, which some birth attendants have admitted to in court.The State Department, the Post said, denies changing its "policy or practice regarding the adjudication of passport applications." A man "showing homage to the DC comic supervillain, The Joker,'" was arrested after a road rage incident in Tempe, Arizona.Tempe police report that on April 15 near Rio Salado Parkway and Price Road, two vehicles were stopped in the right lane at a red light.A woman was stopped behind an orange Ford Mustang with lime green rims. She honked and flashed her lights signaling the Mustang to go. Instead, the driver, 35-year-old Keith Douglas Casto, pointed a silver handgun at the woman. After both cars made the turn, Casto reportedly came alongside the woman's car, rolled down his window and again pointed the handgun at the woman while she was on the phone with police. "Keep it in the movies. You're not that person and you don't get paid to point a gun at people in real life." said the woman, who is not being identified for safety reasons. "It looked like a gangster gun. No joke. Absolutely not. It's not okay to point your gun at someone."Tempe police officers located a car with the license plate 'AZ JOKER' at a nearby gas station. They found Casto with the same gun in his pocket. Inside the car, police say, was an homage to the 'DC comic supervillain'. They found a 'Joker' flask, a purple cane, an electronic voice changer, fake gold teeth, and joker cards. A couple arrested in Mexico while pushing a baby stroller filled with human body parts may have killed up to 20 women, according to the chief investigator on the case.The man and woman were detained Thursday in the Mexico City suburb of Ecatepec on suspicion of murdering 10 female victims. However, the male suspect has since claimed that they are responsible for twice as many deaths.Police arrested the pair, identified only as "Juan Carlos N." and his wife "Patricia "N.," during an investigation into the disappearance of three women and a two-month-old baby. The man gave detailed accounts of the original 10 deaths. He also told police that he and his wife had killed a further 10 people, according to State of Mexico Prosecutor Alejandro Gomez and reported by AFP.Police found eight plastic buckets full of dismembered body parts and cement in the couple's house, Gomez revealed in a Facebook post on Sunday.
