SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Padres made another trade on Monday, this time acquiring relief pitcher Taylor Williams from the Seattle Mariners just before Major League Baseball’s trade deadline.MLB.com Padres beat writer AJ Cassavell confirmed the Friars picked up the 29-year-old Williams in exchange for a player to be named later.Williams has a 1-1 record on the season with a 5.93 ERA and six saves.Ironically, Williams was the losing pitcher in the Padres’ wild comeback win over the Mariners on Aug. 27. In that game, with Seattle up 7-3, Williams got two quick outs before giving up four runs to blow the save. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The United States Postal Service unveiled its newest forever stamp Wednesday, honoring pioneering astronaut and UC San Diego professor Sally Ride.The ceremony, held at the UCSD campus, featured several of Ride's family and friends, including her life and business parter, Tam O'Shaughnessy, astronaut and Director of the Johnson Space Center Ellen Ochoa, and tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King.RELATED: First American woman in space to be honored with the Sally Ride Forever Stamp"It's amazing the impact and the long-lasting impact that Sally Ride's going to have," King told 10News. The Zillow report also found that home values are also rising slower than average.The trend may be welcome news for renters. Over the last year, rent rose only one percent to an average of ,540. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Star of India has returned to its home along San Diego’s Embarcadero after undergoing a days-long restoration. The ship made the journey Friday after being dry docked at BAE Systems for 10 days. Work on the vessel included hydro-blasting, anti-fouling and top side paint as well as an inspection of the ship’s hull integrity. RELATED: Star of India to be removed for once-in-a-decade restorationThe U.S. Coast Guard requires the ship to be hauled out for inspection and work every 10 years. The restoration was made possible due to a 0,000 grant from the National Park Service’s Museum Heritage Program. The Star of India was built in 1863 and has circumnavigated the globe 21 times, the San Diego Maritime Museum says. 755
