A 2-month-old baby who died of a birth defect had also contracted COVID-19.According to a report from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, the baby was born with gastroschisis — a birth defect where a baby is born with intestines located outside the body.The medical examiner's report notes that the baby was born at 37 weeks with the defect. On Sept. 8, after going home from a surgery, the child developed vomiting and diarrhea and was diagnosed with COVID-19.He was pronounced deceased at a hospital after developing acute respiratory symptoms. According to the report, COVID-19 caused the baby's recent issues.News of the child's death broke last Wednesday in an interview with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun. Khaldun warned that children are not immune to the virus. They still can — and are likely to — pass it on to others.Across the U.S., about 800 children have been diagnosed with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C), a disease associated with COVID-19. (KGTV) -- Margaret Wardlow doesn’t dwell on what happened to her one night in 1977 - a night that she became victim number 27 of the Golden State Killer. Just because she doesn’t dwell on it, doesn’t mean she doesn’t remember. Wardlow was the youngest of the serial man's victims, just 13 when she was tied up in her Sacramento home and raped.On Wednesday Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, was arrested in connection with a series of killings, rapes and burglaries that occurred around the state in the 1970s and ‘80s. Authorities from jurisdictions across California gathered in Sacramento to announce the arrest of a suspect in the decades-long East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer case.RELATED: Suspect identified, arrested in East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer caseIt's an arrest that brought back the memories of that night for Wardlow. She says at first, she had no idea her attacker was the Golden State Killer - aka the east area rapist, aka the original night stalker in her home. It wasn't until she looked up at the clock and saw it was 2:30 a.m. that she realized who he was.  "'This is the east area rapist, and this is what’s going on,'" she recalls thinking. A 26-year-old tattoo artist was arrested on sexual abuse and assault charges after an incident involving an intoxicated teen last month.According to police documents, a 19-year-girl was offered a free thigh tattoo at the Dark Side Tattoo shop in Phoenix. Arturo Emmanuel Palafox and the victim were reportedly alone in the shop when he was giving the teen her tattoo on March 16, 2018. The pair reportedly left to get a bottle of Crown Royal and were both drinking during the incident. Police paperwork says Palafox engaged in unwanted sexual contact and intercourse with the intoxicated victim several times, photographed her and was seen on surveillance video stirring her drink when she left the room. The victim reportedly noticed a green powdery substance in her cup when she returned from a trip to the bathroom. A family member of the victim contacted ABC15 and said the victim could not remember portions of the incident, matching similar reports from police paperwork. Police say the victim contacted her sister during the incident and said she had been raped. Her sister showed up at the tattoo shop and was eventually able to take her from the scene. She alerted police that Palafox was leaving the shop and police were able to detain him during a traffic stop. Evidence collected included a small bag of green powder, a bottle of alcohol, unopened condoms and surveillance footage from the tattoo shop.Palafox was booked into jail on 15 counts of felony sex assault, six counts of felony sex abuse, one count of aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful recording and one count of kidnapping.  1669
