CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) -- People took to social media New Year's Eve after a funnel cloud was spotted over Carlsbad. According to the National Weather Service, several reports of funnel clouds were reported along the coast Monday. The organization's Twitter account shared video of the funnel cloud. Throughout the video, the cloud can be seen forming before dissipating. CANTON, Ohio -- An Ohio police department is investigating three separate homicides that happened within 24 hours, including the death of a 1-year-old twin boy who was shot and killed while sleeping.Police in Canton, which is about 60 miles south of Cleveland, say the first homicide happened on Tuesday at around 8:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of Louisiana Court Northwest. A 31-year-old man, identified as Ronald Pleasant, was shot and killed at the scene. A 21-year-old man was shot and taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.The second homicide happened in the 100 block of Pulley Place SE at around 10:43 p.m. A 20-year-old man, identified as Brandon Bush, and another 20-year-old man, were both shot. Both were transported to local hospitals by the Canton Fire Department. Bush died from his injuries.The third homicide happened at around 2:28 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Clarendon Avenue SW. One-year-old twin brothers were shot while sleeping inside a home on Clarendon Avenue. Both were transported by the Canton Fire Department to local hospitals where one of the brothers, identified as Ace Lucas, died. Central Illinois is coping with damages and injuries after a blitz of tornadoes Saturday, when 22 twisters were reported to the National Weather Service.Hardest hit was the town of Taylorviille, southeast of Springfield, where storm winds wrecked houses, downed power lines, pulled trees up by the roots, and left an unknown number of people injured.It "feels like I woke up to a nightmare," one man in Taylorville, who has lived there since the 1960s, told CNN affiliate WCIA.Taylorville Fire Department Chief Mike Crews said at a press conference no one was killed, and he couldn't comment on the number of injured."There were several people who were initially trapped in their homes due to damage initially but were rescued," Crews said. 748

(KGTV) - A video of kids from around the country giving thanks to emergency workers during coronavirus has gone viral in a way that its creator never imagined."I really think that when given the opportunity, the kids stepped up to the plate," says Sarah Hunter, a teacher at Sage Creek High School.She saw other people posting pictures of their kids with signs of gratitude and thought her kids could do something similar. "My three drew little pictures.
