FALLBROOK (KGTV) - A mobile home fire spread to brush in the Fallbrook area, North County Fire reported Tuesday.The flames broke out about 2:40 p.m. at Highway 395 and Rainbow Valley Road. The mobile home fire sparked three small brush fires nearby.The fires were extinguished within half an hour.There are no reports of injuries or road closures.An employee of a nearby business was unaware of the fire.10News is monitoring breaking developments. 455

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) – Police in Escondido have identified the suspect shot and killed by an officer at Valley View Casino Saturday night as Osbaldo Ramirez Jimenez, 50.The incident began after police received a domestic disturbance call on the 1400 block of Timber Glen Road in Escondido.When they arrived, police say the suspect got into a vehicle and led them on a chase that ended at the casino’s valet entrance.RELATED: Officer-involved shooting reported at Valley View Casino in North San Diego County?When Jimenez got out of the vehicle, police say they noticed he was holding a handgun when the officer-involved shooting took place. Jimenez was taken to the hospital where he later died. Authorities also identified the officer involved in the shooting as Officer Terrence Pizzuti, who they say has been with the department since 2013.The incident reportedly caused chaos inside the casino. One woman inside at the time of the shooting was trampled. She was taken to the hospital where she is expected to survive.The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation. (KGTV) — Video of a brutal fight in front of Bear Valley Middle School circulated through social media, alarming parents.The Escondido Union School District said the incident happened more than a week ago, and was an hour and a half after school was dismissed.In the video a large girl in a black Santa Cruz sweatshirt started punching a slight girl in a maroon sweatshirt, swinging her around to the ground and continuing to punch her until others jumped in.10News reached out to the district for a comment: 534

(KGTV) - An Encinitas man is trying to drum up some comfort amid the coronavirus pandemic by making some noise.Every night at 8 p.m., across the town of Windsor Locks, CT, the sound of bells of all sizes cuts through the quiet isolation. The town is the hometown of Encinitas resident of Rob LaBreche."It shows the neighbors are thinking about each other, and that is a positive thing," said LaBreche.Labreche decided to try to ring in some positivity in his own neighborhood. He posted his plans on the Nextdoor app and early this week, he and his kids got out some pots and pans at 7 p.m. and started making noise.That night, about five other neighbors joined them."To be honest, I kind of felt silly out there banging the pots and pans, but then when you're silent and feel other neighbors doing the same thing ... it makes you feel good and you know we're all in this together," said LaBreche.Since then, the idea has continued to resonate. He sent us video of his son ringing one of the family's newly-bought bells. On Thursday night - based on messages on Nextdoor - LaBreche believes more than 75 others joined in.
