(AP) -- McDonald's is suing Steve Easterbrook, the CEO it ousted last year over an inappropriate relationship with an employee, alleging he covered up relationships with other employees and destroyed evidence.Easterbrook told the company that there were no other similar instances.McDonald's says in a lawsuit that it has since become aware of sexual relationships between Easterbrook and three other employees prior to his termination.The company also says Easterbrook approved a special stock grant for one of those employees worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.An Associated Press message seeing comment was left with Easterbrook's attorney. 655

 People around the U.S. experienced some internet downtime on Monday. The outage was brief and service has been restored.The culprit was a configuration issue from Level 3, a telecommunications and internet service provider owned by CenturyLink. In a statement to CNN Tech, CenturyLink said a "configuration error" disrupted service and technicians restored service in 90 minutes.CenturyLink declined to provide further details.Though Level 3 was responsible for the issue, it affected other internet providers like Comcast. That's because Level 3's infrastructure delivers content for other internet services.Comcast said the service disruption to its Xfinity internet service has been resolved.According to reports from Down Detector, a website that monitors internet outages, Comcast and Level 3 connectivity was impacted nationwide beginning around 10 a.m. Pacific.Other internet service providers including Spectrum, Verizon, and AT&T showed a spike in connectivity issues, too, though they were not as widespread. (AT&T has agreed to acquire CNN's parent company Time Warner, and the deal is pending regulatory approval.) It's unclear if the spikes were related to the Level 3 outage.The website does not provide numbers of people affected.Following public complaints of widespread outages, rumors temporarily circulated online that the outage was a coordinated hack of some sort. Just a week ago, Hurricane Dorian made landfall as a Category 5 storm, flattening homes on the islands. “This level of damage to all of these structures, we have not seen before,” Laing says.Laing and his nephew, Ellison Laing, are still dealing with the devastation the hurricane left behind.“The water came to our waist, inside the house,” describes Ellison Laing.More than 4,800 people have been evacuated, and more people are waiting to be evacuated. Shelters are over max capacity. One woman in the shelter is not only grieving the loss of her home, but her loved ones as well.“I had three people pass in my family: my brother and my mom and my [cousin],” she says.Fifty people have been confirmed dead following the hurricane. There are still 1,300 people missing.In Freeport, located 50 miles away from Abaco, the majority of homes are without power and running water, making it difficult to begin the rebuilding process. “Yeah, they said it’s contaminated, says Ellison Laing of the water.“When the water came up, so did the septic, actually came up, too.”So, for now, the family has to wait.
