SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are searching for an at-risk missing man who disappeared from downtown Saturday morning. According to police, 57-year-old William Groves was last seen at the corner of 7th Avenue and A street around 10:25 a.m. Saturday. Groves suffers from seizures and has short-term memory loss due to a traumatic brain injury. Police say Groves is also a dependent adult with no money or medication and is visiting San Diego from Hawaii with his mother. According to police, Groves is known to be friendly and talkative. He is described as five feet, five inches tall with brown eyes, gray and black hair and light skin. Groves was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with checkered shorts and a black eye patch. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diegans played the role of Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday as they delivered some holiday cheer to seniors in need downtown.Volunteers from the non-profits Serving Seniors and Friends of Downtown teamed up to deliver bags filled with essentials to seniors. Bags were filled with items including food, blankets, fresh towels, and other care products.Organizers of the event say that the seniors they serve don't have families or anyone to visit them and, in some cases, this is the only present they receive during the holidays."Serving seniors sent us pictures last year and we got to see seniors receiving them and it brought tears to your eyes," Lori Carpenter, with Friends of Downtown, said.More than 200 bags were handed out during Saturday's event. 786

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego FBI agents are asking the public for help find a suspect who robbed a bank in the College Area Wednesday.The man, described as a black man in his late 30s to early 40s and standing about 6-feet tall, entered a Union Bank branch in the 6000 block of El Cajon Blvd. at about 11 a.m. Investigators say the man handed a teller a demand note and received an undisclosed amount of cash. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego is already known as "America's Finest City," but it's the region's craft beer heritage that fans say make it "America's Hoppiest City."San Diego's East Village will pay homage to the area's craft beer past, present, and future with the Museum of Beer (MoB), slated to be introduced in spring/summer 2020.MoB will highlight beer, beer history, and the brewing process through high-tech, immersive, and hands-on exhibits, according to the museum. Virtual reality-based exhibits will also walk guests through a brewhouse, beer festival, and bring them face-to-face with iconic, San Diego brewers.Guests will learn about how beer is made, styles of beer, and, of course, San Diego's place in craft beer history. The company's goal is to help connect homeowners or businesses who have empty parking spots, with people who need them.The owner or business can list their spot on the Park Connect website, and select a daily, monthly or hourly rate.
