SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two community boards that review police practices will hold emergency meetings Wednesday and Thursday regarding the San Diego Police Department's de-escalation-of-force policies.The city's Citizens Advisory Board on Police/Community Relations will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a Thursday evening meeting of the Community Review Board on Police Practices, both of which can be viewed on the city's website and YouTube page.San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer said the goal of both meetings is to "take a serious look at de-escalation recommendations that could be implemented by our department" and "increasing and facilitating further dialogue and understanding between our officers, our men and women who are out there protecting us, and the community."Faulconer said public input is welcome regarding what SDPD policies should be updated or changed."Many are crying out to be heard. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A big rig tipped over in North County Tuesday afternoon, spilling debris onto the road and forcing a hazmat team into action. According to authorities, the truck tipped over near eastbound SR-78 at Vista Village Drive just before noon. The incident caused house demolition debris and diesel from the big rig to spill all over the road. In total, about 30 gallons of diesel spilled onto the road. Crews used dirt and kitten litter to clean up the fuel. Firefighters, CHP, deputies and hazmat crews all responded to the scene. The incident caused the hours-long closure of the Vista Village overpass. At this time, it's unclear what caused the truck to tip over. The driver was uninjured.  750

X-ray services and express care will be added to the clinic in 2021."Like all of our clinics, the Pacific Highland Ranch clinic is designed to support appropriate physical distancing, said UCSD Health Physician Group CEO Dr. Christopher Kane. "Patients can check in for an appointment and pay any copays using a contact-free option at a guest kiosk or with a mobile application."Walk-ins will be accepted at the clinic, which will be open eight hours a day, seven days a week, to address common health needs, including coughs, colds and simple fractures or sprains.In 2019, UCSD Health opened a clinic in Encinitas -- which offers pediatrics, primary care and express care -- and a clinic in Eastlake offering primary care, express care and imaging capabilities.UCSD Health also opened a clinic in the Rancho Bernardo area in 2018 that offers urgent care, advanced imaging, an optical boutique, primary care, women's health, occupational medicine, behavioral health, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology and a retail pharmacy open to the public.Flu immunizations are also available at all clinics for the 2020-2021 flu season.An annual flu vaccine is especially important this year with flu season coinciding with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to UCSD Health. 1522

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A car being pursued by the California Highway Patrol crashed in the Carmel Valley area early Friday morning.Around 12 a.m., CHP officers attempted to pull over a 2020 Toyota Camry for speeding on southbound Interstate5 near Del Mar Heights Road, but the driver refused to stop.Officers say the driver was traveling at 135 mph.The car tried to exit on Carmel Valley Road, but when the driver attempted to get back on the freeway, she lost control on the on-ramp and crashed.Officers took six women into custody from the car, including the driver.It's unclear why they chose to flee from CHP officers.Paramedics later responded to evaluate minor injuries. 681
