The Harford County, Maryland Sheriff's Department is hoping you can help find the people who tried to steal an ATM from a Shell Gas station.The attempted theft happened at 3:34 a.m. on March 16. Two unknown individuals broke into a Shell station in Belcamp, Maryland.Surveillance video shows one suspect wrapping a chain around the ATM.  Another suspect is in a vehicle and tries to pull it out of the store using the vehicle. They were unsuccessful.  Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Amanda McCormack at 443-567-7091 or you can submit an anonymous tip with Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.  668

The hottest gift this holiday season is a new gaming system under the tree.Microsoft's new XBox Series X and Sony's new PlayStation 5 are the hardest-to-find items this Christmas, quickly becoming the Furby or Hatchimal of 2020.To make it even more frustrating, some people who ordered one are ending up with nothing after a Kohl's website malfunction, Walmart Thanksgiving night fail, and Amazon package thefts.Kohl's, Walmart frustrationJerris Williams is one of the few lucky ones: he showed us his new PS5, which he found at Target the other morning at 6 a.m."We finally got one," he said, "and it was almost like a lottery."He thought he found one on Kohl's website a couple of days earlier, as did thousands of other shoppers."Kohl's went live, which means they were starting to sell the PlayStation 5," he said. "And that went on at 1:30 in the morning."Williams quickly got a confirmation from Kohl's that a PS5 was on the way, only to have his hopes dashed hours later."We were happy, excited, celebrating. And then the next morning, they canceled on us."Kohl's confirms to us that it was unable to fill all PS5 orders.The electronics blog Techspot suspects thousands of people were left empty-handed by the website glitch.The one consolation: Williams gets to keep 0 in bonus Kohl's cash for his trouble. Kohl's says it is still giving bonus cash to all the people who had their orders canceled."I'm doing the math in my head," he said. "All my friends have the same thing, so that's a lot of money that they are all giving away for nothing."Walmart website failWalmart attempted to do shoppers a favor Thanksgiving night, announcing they were putting up several thousand PS5s at 9 p.m.But most shoppers ended up like Stephanie Meibers, with an error message when they tried to grab one the minute the Walmart site went live."I tried to add to cart," she said. "Then you get the 'oh dear' message, a little dog with antlers, and then I get 'We are getting temporary internet issues.' The NFLPA announced that it has reached an agreement with players on moving forward with the 2020 season.The NFLPA said that its board approved the deal by a 29-3 margin.NFL Network reported that the agreement will allow high-risk players to opt out from the upcoming season due to coronavirus concerns. The league will also spread out the financial impact from the upcoming year over the next four seasons. The league projects lower revenue due to the coronavirus.The NFLPA said earlier this week that it was pushing for enhanced testing, treatment and contact tracing protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic as part of the deal. 638

The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Florida takes in plenty of stray cats, many of which are either lost or in need of a loving home."Let me tell you, this is why I love working here," said volunteer program coordinator Sarah Fisher.Two weeks ago, an orange tabby cat showed up at the center."He was just found on the street, he was brought in," she said. "He had fleas, he was skinny."The cat had a microchip and it turned out he'd been missing for a very long."It's amazing," said Fisher. "It's unheard of."That's when Perry Martin -- a retired Fort Pierce K9 officer -- got the call from his veterinarian's office."They said, 'Perry what would you do if we told you that T2 was alive?' And I said, 'I'd probably tell you you're crazy because he died a long long time ago!'"Martin adopted Thomas Jr., also known as T2, back in 2002."He was a stray. Just kind of showed up," he said. "Took him to the vet, gave him his shots and that's when he got his microchip."He had him for a couple of years until the cat escaped during the aftermath of Hurricane Jeanne in 2004."People didn't have air conditioning, so as time went on people left their windows and screens open," he said. "I was staying in Stuart at the time and he slipped out."Martin was fearful that T2 had possibly been hit by a car on a nearby highway."I filed a report with the Humane Society, in case animal control picked him up," he said. "He had a microchip and I thought someone would just call me if they found him."But he never thought it would take 14 years for that to happen."My vet even listed him as deceased," Martin said.When Martin was reunited with T2, it was like seeing a ghost.“As soon as I looked at that face, I knew exactly who he was. A little bit older, kind of like me," he said. "I'm convinced he had to have had somebody bring him into their house. He must have been part of somebody's family and maybe he got out. I just can't see him living wild in the area I figured he would be."The Humane Society said T2's journey shows the importance of micro-chipping and keeping it updated."The microchip wasn't updated and it was an old phone number. We were able to track down the original owner," said Fisher."The national average for cats that get reunited with their owners -- is only two percent. The majority of them, they don't get microchipped. For dogs, it's 20 percent," Fisher added.Martin said he hopes others will think about microchipping their pets and updating their information ahead of hurricane season this year."Just update your information, your alternate information and your vet's information. They'll scan them and hopefully you'll get your pet back. You never know," he said.T2 is now about 18 years old and is weak, but eating well."Since he got home, he's eating, he's drinking, he's moving around," Martin said.Martin now helps train service dogs and recently added a new addition to the household with Sassy, the golden retriever. He said Sassy is gentle with T2, as he lives out the rest of his days with a new friend and an old friend."He had an opportunity to come home, spend time with his family and be on a good note when he passes," Martin said. "Until that day, he'll be spoiled like he was before he left." 3273

The military is investigating why an aging cargo plane making its final military flight nosedived into a Georgia highway on Wednesday, killing all nine people on board.The Puerto Rico Air National Guard WC-130 was flying from Savannah, Georgia, to Tucson, Arizona, where it was to be decommissioned.
