ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Police say a gunman opened fire inside an Illinois bowling alley, killing three people and injuring three others during what authorities believe was a random attack. Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea says a 37-year-old white male suspect is in custody after the shooting Saturday night at Don Carter Lanes. Police were not seeking any other suspects. O'Shea did not immediately release additional information about the person of interest or the victims. (AP) — Jerry Falwell Jr. has sued Liberty University, alleging the evangelical school founded by his late pastor father damaged his reputation in a series of public statements that followed his resignation as president and chancellor in August amid a series of scandals.The lawsuit filed in Lynchburg Circuit Court on Wednesday includes claims of defamation and breach of contract.
