SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Scripps Ranch Civic Association offered a reward Monday to find the person who vandalized ball fields.The incident was reported over the weekend at Jerabek Park at 10150 Agenda Magnifica. Someone in what neighbors believe was a large truck drove in circles on the field, raising the turf.“This type of destruction of our field, we’ve seen it a couple of times before; it’s really got to stop,” said Steve Trifoglio, who plays ball at the field.The SRCA posted a ,000 reward on its Facebook page. A neighbor chipped in another 0.An update Monday indicated a landscape contractor was able to tamp down some of the raised turf. Soon, it will finally reopen for all to enjoy.Opened in 1926, the San Diego Museum of Art is the city's oldest and largest museum.Following a four-month pandemic shutdown, the museum is finally ready to continue educating locals, starting July 9."Every single protocol has been put in place there is a big team here working the last three months and thinking precisely how to give you the joy of the art the pleasure of being at the museum but more importantly the fact that you can feel safe here," said Roxana Velasquez, the museum's executive director.Safety precautions will be in line with temperature checks and social distancing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The place where an 87-year-old woman was hit and killed by a FedEx truck, is now covered with candles, flowers, and messages from loved ones.Mary Francel was a mother to eight and grandmother to dozens more.She was walking back from church and crossing a driveway on Balboa Avenue near Mount Albertine Avenue when the FedEx truck hit her. The driver immediately stopped after the crash."She was very much well-loved and she put all of us first at all times, it was never about her," said Joey Villegas, one of Francel's grandchildren. "I wrote her and told her thank you, for how much she taught us. Me and my brother, she basically helped raise us when we were young."Villegas says his grandma loved bingo, drove a big truck and was incredibly devoted to her family and friends.At this time the driver has not been arrested or cited for the accident.   890
