SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying several suspects they say stole 0,000 worth of jewelry from a Mount Soledad home.According to officers, the burglary happened in the Mount Soledad area in June 16, though an exact address wasn’t given.Police say the suspects used a tool to pry open the door before stealing numerous pieces of jewelry valued at more than 0,000.Most of the jewelry is large and very distinctive, police say. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Prosecutors say streetlight camera video revealed the killer of an East Village business owner. A bevy of surveillance and streetlight video was released during the preliminary hearing for Kevin Cartwright and Lorena Espinoza, accused of killing of Tony Radda, 49.October 2018. Just before 3 p.m., store surveillance video shows a woman wearing a purple wig and sunglasses enter the store.Video shows Radda and the woman going towards the back, possibly to show her some merchandise. Right away, a man in a mask is seen trailing behind them, lurking. When Radda and the woman return, the man in the mask attacks Radda, dragging him out of camera range. Prosecutors believe that is when Radda was shot several times and killed.Soon after, the masked man is caught prying open a cash register. Prosecutors say while the woman took off in an SUV; the man walked away.According to prosecutors, that walk was captured by a string of streetlight cameras. In one of the videos - about 12 blocks away from the store - the man in the mask sheds it, revealing a face, police eventually identified as Cartwright. On Friday, the judge is expected to decide whether the two will go to trial. 1206

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - National Guard troops have not been at the border for too long, but are already making their presence felt.Border Patrol officers last week arrested a 31-year-old woman on Interstate 15 they say was transporting 51 bundles of methamphetamine in her vehicle.The woman's vehicle was transported to a Border Patrol facility where agents continued searching the vehicle with the help of National Guardsman who have recently been deployed to the border.RELATED: Border Patrol officials discuss National Guard deployment to US-Mexico borderDuring the secondary search, agents initially did not locate any additional narcotics, officials said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Northbound lanes of Interstate 5 through National City were shut down early Saturday following a deadly crash.The two-vehicle collision occurred just after the State Route 54 connector, according to California Highway Patrol. All traffic was being diverted off I-5 at the Mile of Cars. Traffic was also being diverted off WB SR-54 onto Highland Ave.Traffic gridlocked in the area, backing up onto the E St. on ramp in Chula Vista and westbound Sr-54 connector, according to CHP. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police identified the man suspected of a sexual assault in a Mission Beach alley as 40-year old Philemon Shark from Seattle. According to San Diego police, a 24-year old woman was walking by herself on Bayside Lane around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday when Shark attacked her. The woman screamed for help, and several residents ran out and stopped Shark before he ran away.Officers caught up to him in a breezeway and took him into custody. Shark was booked on felony sexual assault charges and outstanding warrants from Washington state, according to police.Police said Shark had been in San Diego for a few months before the assault. 653
