(KGTV) - A Pennsylvania groom is accused of sexually assaulting one of his wife’s bridesmaids days before his wedding, which occurred as scheduled. Daniel Carney, 28, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of an unconscious person and indecent assault at the Smithfield resort Aug. 30. Police said the assault reportedly happened after Carney and the bridesmaid were drinking alcohol. The bridesmaid told officers she blacked out, and when she regained consciousness her clothes were removed and Carney was fondling her. Surveillance video shows Carney pulling the woman into the men’s locker room, police said. According to police, the assault stopped when the bride caught him, but the wedding went on as planned Sept. 1. Court documents show investigators listened in on a call between Carney and his accuser, KABC reported. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the report found that 50 years ago, 76 percent of 26-year-olds in America lived with their spouse. Today, only 24 percent of 26-year-olds live with a spouse while they are more likely to live with a parent.The bureau also found that 17 percent of 26-year-olds live with an unmarried partner, 15 percent live with a non-family roommate and 10 percent live alone.
