NAIROBI, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese and United States top diplomats are due in Kenya on separate dates this month as the East African nation intensifies her foreign engagements, a Kenyan official said on Sunday.
"However, anyone can easily tell this award will certainly aggregate the dispute between China and the Philippines, aggregate the current military tension between China and the United States and definitely aggregate tension in the region," she said, warning an arbitral tribunal should not "play such a dangerous game".
Leaders of major international economic and financial institutions spoke highly of China's economic growth, which they believed played an active role in facilitating world economic recovery. They pointed out that given the uncertainties in the world economy and increasing risks and challenges, all parties need to have closer macro-economic policy coordination, strengthen infrastructure development, and increase investment in human resources. Efforts must also be made to promote multilateral trade, improve the global financial system, and support the development of innovative, low-carbon and inclusive economy. Thus, a joint and positive signal will be sent of promoting growth through cooperation.
Wang made the remarks at a joint press conference with his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se and Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida after the eighth trilateral foreign ministers' meeting.
Yee also pointed out that the arbitral award was not generally accepted, so they would be with no binding force.
