A Florida woman is facing attempted murder charges after police say she told her four children to unbuckle their seat belts and then purposefully drove a minivan into a tree yesterday.Calicia Williams and the children, who are between 7 and 13 years old, were all injured in the crash, Ocala police said in a release.Williams was speeding and told the children to take off their seat belts and stretch out their hands before the crash, according to the release."The devil can't hurt you, he only hurts bad people," Williams said just before the crash, according to the police report, which cited a witness whose name was redacted. "You have the light of Jesus in you and only Jesus can cure us," according to the police report.Williams was standing outside of the van when police arrived. A controversial mural depicting images of slavery and dead Native Americans at a San Francisco high school will be left in place but covered with solid panels.The San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education voted 4-3 to cover the "Life of Washington" mural at George Washington High School without destroying it.The vote on Tuesday amends a June decision to paint over the mural "unless doing so would result in undue delay," the school district said in a news release.The mural was created in 1935 by Victor Arnautoff and has stirred controversy because of depictions such as enslaved Africans working in cotton fields on George Washington's estate and white settlers stepping over the body of a dead Native American, according to a fact sheet posted on the school district's website."Where we all agree is that the mural depicts the racist history of America, especially in regards to African Americans and Native Americans. A family in Chicago has filed a lawsuit, claiming that the Chicago Police raided the wrong home during a 4-year-old's birthday party.Stephanie Bures, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, claims that officers had the wrong house during the Feb. 10 raid, claiming that the suspect sought by police had not lived there for five years. Bures claimed in the lawsuit that 17 officers raided the home during her son's birthday party. Bures' attorney, Al Hofeld Jr., held a news conference on Tuesday regarding the raid. He claimed that officers handcuffed the parents, shouted profanities and insults and smashed the child's birthday cake.
