Almost two dozen people became trapped when a storm knocked over a large tree onto a detached garage, which collapsed. The victims were attending a child's birthday party, and had gone inside the garage when the storm started, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department."It literally sounded like a train coming down the tracks and I looked out the front door and I could see a funnel," said neighbor Dawn Redloff.Redloff describes the severe and sudden storm that hit her neighborhood in Pasadena Sunday afternoon, near Baltimore. Winds knocked down trees, power lines and blew out her front door and window.But nothing was as bad as her neighbor's home."It was heartbreaking," said Redloff.The Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials said a large tree fell on a detached garage during a child’s birthday party, injuring 19 and requiring major rescues."The guys were unreal, cutting the building apart, getting people out of there," said Redloff.When crews arrived, they found six people still trapped inside, all were removed within 45 minutes.According to the county, 19 adults and two children were injured and taken to four area hospitals. A woman in New Jersey is facing aggravated assault charges after fracturing a woman's leg over an argument on how to wear a face mask properly, Hackensack Police Department said.Officials say the incident happened at a Staples in Hackensack.Police say Terri Thomas was shown on a surveillance video approaching another woman, who was using a cane, who had told Thomas that her mask wasn't covering her face correctly.Video then shows Thomas grabbing the victim and throwing her to the ground, officials stated.Police said the victim, who had just recently had liver transplant surgery, fractured her leg, which required her to have surgery again.Police arrested Thomas, who is set to appear in court on August 24, officials said. 738

(KGTV) -- Four off-duty marines along with a rescue team rescued a hiker having a medical emergency on a hiking trail near Los Angeles Sunday.According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a team received the rescue call around 4 p.m. Sunday near Switzer Falls.When the rescue team arrived, they found four off-duty marines from Camp Pendleton who had run into the hiker and carried him upstream for a quicker rescue.Officials say the hiker wasn’t injured and was taken to the hospital to recover.Watch he rescue video in the player below:  581

About 26,000 Ford vehicles are being recalled with three different safety concerns announced this week.The first one is for certain 2016-2020 Lincoln MKX and Nautilus vehicles with 16-way power seats. The issue is with the wiring of the seat harness and how close they are to the seat cushion pan. If certain wires are damaged from coming into contact with the seat cushion frame, Ford says the airbag system may not perform as intended.People with impacted models can go to a dealer to have them install flocking tape and check the wires.The second recall is for the newest model of F-650 and F-750 trucks. The vehicles are missing certain thermal protection components intended to reduce the interior cabin floor and seat attachment temperatures in hot conditions.The third recall affects less than 100 of the 2020 Ford Escape and Transit vehicles. The airbag may not inflate properly. People are encouraged to take their vehicle to a Ford dealer to have the airbag checked.Ford is not aware of any injuries from any of these safety concerns. 1052
