Twitter says it has permanently banned an account linked to former Trump adviser Steve Bannon after he advocated violence against infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI director Christopher Wray.According to CNN, Twitter has banned the account for Bannon's podcast, "War Room: Pandemic." In an episode that was published on mutliple online platforms Thursday, Bannon falsely claimed that President Donald Trump had won the 2020 election (the race is still too close to call) and added that Trump should fire both Wray and Fauci in his next term."I'd put the heads on pikes. Right. I'd put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats," Bannon said, according to CNN. "You either get with the program or you are gone."In addition to the actions by Twitter, the video was also removed from Facebook and YouTube. CNN reports that the video remained active on Facebook for 10 hours before it was taken down.The Washington Post also reports that the episode of the podcast was removed from Spotify's library.Bannon's comments come as some of Trump's supporters have begun dipping into more extreme rhetoric as the President's re-election chances wane. Donald Trump Jr. urged his father to "go to total war over this election," though Twitter flagged the message as misleading.Bannon was arrested earlier this year on charges that he embezzled fund in a scheme the allegedly defrauded Trump supporters who thought they were donating to a fund to build a wall on the border with Mexico. 1534

Two students are injured — one of which is in critical condition — after a school shooting took place Tuesday at Great Mills High School in southern Maryland.The gunman died following the attack according to police officials.Jonathan Freese, a student at Great Mills, told CNN he was in lockdown in his math class. Police were going through classrooms to clear the school, and students will then be escorted out of the school, Freese said."I'm still a little shaken up," he said.Freese said the school had held drills a couple of times for this kind of situation."I didn't really expect for this to happen. I do always feel safe, though, because they always have police at the school," he said.According to CNN's research, there have been 16 confirmed school shootings this year in the United States prior to today.  Great Mills High School has an enrollment of just over 1,500 students, and the student body was about 56% minority students and had a four-year graduation rate of 91%, according to the school's 2015-16 improvement plan.Last week, students at Great Mills High School walked out of class as part of a student-led protest against school violence in the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.Al Murray shot video of police responding to the shooting at the high school Tuesday. (KGTV) - Family members call a 12-year-old girl's survival after a small plane crash in Valley Center Sunday - a "miracle.""Racquel is always on our mind, and we are hopeful," said Roxana McInerny.A smiling photo of her niece Raquel Contreras was taken moments before her uncle Peter Bierle, a seasoned pilot, took her up in his single-engine, experimental aircraft, early Sunday evening. In the flight plan was a special flyover."She wanted to fly over her best friend's house and see if she could shout 'Happy Birthday!' and wish her a happy birthday," said McInerny. McInerny says about 30 minutes into the flight, they reached that friend's home along Palomar Vista Drive. Witnesses reported the plane circling the home and the sound of an engine sputtering, before the plane took a nose dive into the yard.Bierle, 57, died at the scene. Raquel was badly injured. Dozens of neighbors ran to the plane."She was stuck in some debris. They had to cut the seat belts away, I believe, to get her out of the plane," said McInerny.Raquel was rushed to the hospital with fractures to her skull, sternum and hand, also suffering internal bleeding, a brain bleed and spinal injuries. Raquel is now in stable condition in the ICU, conscious and will survive, but the long-term impact of her injuries remain unknown.Still, McInerny is beyond thankful."It's a miracle to think she has survived that's she's alive and recovering. Two teens in Florida tried to steal a car at a sports complex as a team of Clearwater police officers played softball, according to the Clearwater Police Department."They had no idea that basically the entire team out there was comprised of Clearwater police officers," said Sgt. Thomas Dawe.The incident happened on Monday evening at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex in Clearwater.The group of police officers was playing their second softball game of the evening. They were the only group playing softball and noticed the two teens walking around."Normally, there are not many fans due to COVID...They kind of seemed out of place. They weren't watching the game. They were just kind of lingering around so most of us took note of their behavior to start," said Sgt. Dawe.Clearwater Police said a 16-year-old girl stole a set of keys belonging to an umpire. The keys were placed on a table. The two teens took off running out of the sports complex.When the scorekeeper realized what happened, she yelled at the umpire who was out in the field.Sgt. Thomas Dawe, Cpl. Jarred Stiff and Officer Matthew Richmond chased after the two teens."It's just unfortunate that kids were trying to do what they did in order to get down to south St. Pete. There are other opportunities, other avenues to get places rather than taking those steps to commit a crime," said Cpl. Jarred Stiff.The police officers called for backup since they did not have handcuffs on them.The two suspects were charged with attempted grand theft of a motor vehicle. Both have been in trouble with the law before."Unfortunately, we were not able to win the game, but at least we were able to catch a couple of kids doing a bad thing," said Cpl. Tucson Police's Operation Division South Motor Squad took a different and non-traditional approach to help raise awareness for safe driving on Thursday.According to the department, mannequins were placed at different intersections around Tucson in an effort to lower collision statistics and urge drivers to pay better attention to their driving and what is around them. The mannequins were dressed like officers and placed in and around police vehicles near intersections that are or have been known for vehicle crashes.This is the first time TPD has utilized this method by using mannequins.Tucson Police said drivers can expect to see the mannequins out again Aug. 21 but the location has yet to be determined.  732
